0r good alternative to the old shaeffer cartridges which are no longer available

Standard size ink cartridges. I wanted purple and this is a good dark but not too dark colour. Had already brought own so I could have one just for purple.

It's all four of my random collection of 1990s fountain pens. No leaks. Strong and vivid colours. Great value for money, would purchase again.

Having a tidy out in some drawers came across an old fountain pen that my mum used to use. I didn't know whether I would still be able to get cartridges for it but was pleasantly surprised to find exactly the right size on Ebay. They arrived a few days after ordering and brought a special pen back to life.

The pink is dark red, more burgundy/maroon than anything. No amount of pink at all. The blue is watery and with poor technique will show blotches and reservoirs. The purple is navy blue with a tiny amount of magenta.Very cheap indeed and the colours are boring. The ink smells like it's made from powder, so I'm going to clean my pen and bin these before the ink blocks and ruins my nibs.If you're a calligrapher and like the ink colour change thing, these aren't for you. The red and dark blue are too close in key and the lighter blue is far too light.Terrible. Definitely avoid.

Nice ink. I bought purple; it's not the strongest shade of purple I've ever used but obviously it's not a premium price. The shade is good although not strongly pigmented, it flows well and came through to the nib with no cart squeezing or blotting required. Nor has it dried up on the tip, it still flows freely even after my pen hasn't been used in a few days. For a back-up small supply of decent ink cartridges (standard size) in a different shade to bog standard black and blue these tick the boxes.
