How long is the ideal time to wait after applying this before applying nail polish on top? Is it most effective if still wet? Thank you!!

I bought this after having my nails done, with this, at my nail salon and seeing how long my manicure lasted. Just like at the salon, I apply this to all my nails first, then go back and apply my nail polish. By the time you do all 10 fingers, the first nail is almost dry. Also, a trick I learned from my nail salon, after the first coat of nail polish, I apply a second coat of this base, then a second coat of nail polish and finish with a good top coat. I have had my manicures last almost two weeks this way.
