Could not get consistent accurate reading. Don't buy.
I chose this odometer/speedometer for it's large display and large easy-to-see characters. It was intuitive and easy to set the parameters like mph vs kph and date and time. Resetting trip distance is also intuitive and relatively easy.I have one major issue. No matter how I try to position the magnet sensor on the wheel, I can't get a consistent, reliable reading for speed and distance. It gives no reading at all, or it gives a reading of what I think is accurate for a few seconds, and then jumps to a ridiculous high number or goes back to zero. Sometimes it jumps all over the place, ( for example: 0, 40, 5, 0, 18 ).I fiddled with the sensor while out riding, and then brought it home and tried various methods to position it. I temporarily taped it in different positions and spun the wheel. I changed how the magnet swept across the sensor. I made sure the magnet was close enough to the sensor. (The instruction sheet says the gap from magnet to sensor should be less that 5 mm) I tested the magnet strength on a piece of metal. And finally, I tried fresh batteries. Nothing worked. I could never get more than a short, inconsistent reading.I doesn't make any difference how good the other feature are if it doesn't work.My advise would be DON'T BUY. Find something else.
