I added a penny washer (Wilkinsons sell them) to the inside to stop cut-thru by the stool legs. Works wonderfully, so ordered 4 more sets.used on a small step stool to mount and dismount a heritage railway carriage for the less able. The steps came with hard plastic caps, which simply skidded under the train. Not good.With these rubber ferrules the steps are now safe to use.

Excellent! Don’t use for waking sticks but use for stopper caps for my exterior rotary washing line (the plastic caps on each arm break after a while and these rubber caps last longer and stop water getting into the metal)

Good quality ferrules at bargain price. Slight problem of lack fit to walking stick but not insuperable.
