I like this because it was a little quieter than my old InSinkErator unit. It does a good job of taking care of whatever goes doen the sink. Swapping it out was very easy since I didn't remove the previous part that mounts it to the sink. Took the old one down, swapped the wires, and put this one up. It fit perfectly in the same space with the same bracket. Not a hard DIY job. I trust the brand and am confident this will last a long time. I bought an open box unit and it arrived with all expected parts, etc. Good price.

I purchased my garbage disposal and it has worked great. It was easy to install and very strong one horse power gave me no problem on getting rid of heavy duty food items. I would definitely purchase it again.

First off, if your current food waste disposal is not working, there could be a cut off switch on the bottom of it depending on the brand. Often if there is too much stuff in it or it is being stalled by something that gets in there that shouldn't, it will often pop a fuse on the bottom to prevent it from burning out. Not a lot of people know this. That might be worth a shot. Bought this to replace a 1/2 HP lower model of the same brand barely worked anymore. The directions are detailed and I had no real problem installing this. The connections were where they needed to be. The size was bigger, but it fit just fine in the space. One nice upgrade from the older lower tier model is sound. This is not silent, but it is much quieter than my old one and a noticeable improvement. It is just not nearly as annoying to hear. In terms of performance, I think it is great to upgrade to a higher HP model. I saw a video where a plumber recommended getting the best that you can afford in terms of power. We eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and this thing tears up the skins and ends with ease. I personally think it has gotten even better with some time. Almost as if the grinding parts got sharper or something. It used to leave a lot of little bits in there that would get ground up with the next batch. I have noticed that it seems to clear most stuff out now the first time. Worthwhile replacement of the older broken one.

Bought to replace a 20 year old unit. Removal of the old one was a tricky task and the recommended new one wasn't an exact fit as the waste pipes needed a slight modification. It's much quieter than the old one. It is very well made and expect this one to last another 20 years.

Works great! It makes the same amount of noise as the last one I had that did not grind that much, but I’m happy with it.

Our older model InSinkEreator disposal stopped working so I got this one to replace it. Old was 3/4 HP and this is 1 HP. This one in louder than old, but also more power. I installed it myself using the existing Dishwasher hookup and having to slightly modify the main discharge pipe to account for about an 1.5 inch difference between the old and the new. I had to drill a hole in the pipe for my RO system discharge. You need to buy the power cord and install. Which takes 2 minutes. Overall, watch a YouTube video and you can do this yourself. Tools needed: screwdriver and PVC saw if you need to modify the discharge pipe length, and a drill if you have to attach the RO drain. Overall, great price and absolutely DYI for install.
