Great knife for the price. It’s not a Shun Kiritsuke
Received my knife today and tried it out by slicing some rare cooked leg of lamb. Out of the box the knife was well made at an 8 on a scale of 10. The bevel grind was rough and the wood transition to the metal tang was not 100% smooth but usable. Probably have to run a belt sander on it to smooth it out. While slicing the leg of lamb I could feel some resistance although the cut was fine for all intents and purpose. However, I think I will use my 4000 and 8000 grit Japanese stones to smooth out the bevel. For $26 and change the knife is fine for a Chinese made knife, When compared to my Shun Blue steel kiritsuke it’s night and day. The Shun is a 12 on a scale of 10 for quality fit and finish but it’s also $250 vs $26.I plan to use this knife as my everyday kitchen knife because the belly is round but not too round to use as a vegetable knife while it can also be used as a chef knife for slicing and food prep. Also if it’s dropped and the tip breaks I can regrind a new tip without fear of destroying a $200 plus knife.Once I regrind the bevel, I plan to use it to make some sushi to see it it will cut tuna or Spanish mackerel smoothly.I will also get a messermeister knife protector so it can go into my knife drawer with out damage. It’s actually fairly large and the blade spine is hefty enough to break chicken bone if necessary. So in conclusion, for the price it is a very usable chef knife with the ability to cut vegetables like a nakiri knife.Overall a good buy for the price. It’s a knife you can lend to your clumsy friends and not worry about them damaging it.Will update once I do the Japanese stone work.

This is one great knife, it's razor sharp and it's perfectly balanced in one's hand. I've cut some beef steaks with it and it just slices through like butter, it's a really good knife especially for the price, why would anyone pair hundreds of their hard earned money for a knife when this one is perfect for an ordinary persons needs. This Knife Rocks!

Great all purpose knife! I have 12 years of sushi experience.
This knife has really good weight and edge retention. The price is more than fair and the kiritsuke tip is great to cut bone or even use for precision board work. You will not regret purchasing this knife. It can be used as a chopper, slicer, or veggie knife. I will be purchasing more for my other chef friends. They all agree that this knife is beautiful and useful. They were all also blown away by the price! Highly recommend this knife for home or professional use.

This knife appears to be well made. It is very sharp and remains sharp after plenty of use. Comes in a nice box and makes a good gift for someone that enjoys cooking. I bought 3 of these.

My go to knife!
Sharp for easy chopping. Quickly cuts through meat and veggies. I make tons of stir Fry's for my family and this is my Go to knife. Handle is wood and very comfortable to use.

sharp knife
This is a great, sharp knife. I am trying to be better with this one and hand wash, so far completely blemish-free. Cuts very well. Nice packaging.

It's sharp. It cuts well. It has some heft behind it. I like it. Great value for the money.
