When I switched from an R1200RT to a Triumph, I lost the ability to mount my 8" tablet to the GPS mount via the BMW quick release. A friend suggested the RAM ball on the headstock nut. I drilled & tapped it to M6 and this installed easily. The fit is perfect, and after adapting the rest of the mounting system (using the BMW GS mount) it has held up great so far.

This mount is solidly made. It was an easy swap out in my application using the 1/4-20 thread. Would purchase again as the need arose.

Works as intended on mounting tire pressure monitor on the motorcycle. Happy with the purchase!

I have a Garmin Catalyst GPS that I was wanting to make a custom mount for my car. The ball mount is a perfect fit for the Garmin so I imagine would work for other RAM compatible mounts. This little ball is solid metal and very sturdy. Great for a custom solution to create your own RAM mount.

Top quality product. Metal is shiny and precisely machined. Can't think of anything they could do to improve it - it's exactly what I wanted.If you need to attach a ball mount to a surface using a nut, this'll work perfectly.

This product has Ram quality. I would even say it might qualify for mil spec as it is. The only complaint I have about this thing is the thread only comes in 1/2" x 1/4" . Well I'll put it this way that's all I could find . If they have different thread links and diameter , pitch then I would like to know . As it is, it hangs out too much like a poorly trained plumber . LOL

I attached an arm with 1 inch clamp to this and I couldn't get it tight enough to hold properly, it was slipping. I attached the clamp to a competitors ball mount and it held fine. Fit and finish was nice but it appeared to be too small.

Bought this to replace a ball in the a tree mount that broke, fits all the standard tree mounts like Spypoint.

My Honda Civic sun visor keeps splitting and flopping around (very common problem) - after 3 replacements decided to take an aircraft approach using a RAM affixed visor commonly used in cockpits. This RAM ball worked perfectly by bolting to a custom fabricated plate that fit in the rounded triangular space formerly used by the stock visor mount. No matter how much sun or cabin heat, this arrangement in combination with a dual end RAM extension will never fail and is hugely flexible in blocking glare from the front or side. Can even set it to always filter light from the top 1/8th or so of the windshield which reduces light fatigue on cloudy days. The treaded connection and the 13 mm bolt head for counter torque on tightening to the plate appear to be of good quality as is the ball itself. Very satisfied with this and less costly arrangement than purchasing another OEM visor.
