Excellent replacement battery
Fits and works perfectly in my Canon R5. Holds its charge at least as well as an original Canon battery. Charges normally in a Canon charger or a third party charger. The option to charge it with a lead plugged in to the battery is useful, for example with a power pack or in a car. I also like the price.

Fast charge and long lasting
Great battery. Canons can be picky with other aftermarket batteries but my R5 works perfect. No errors no codes. Just works. Highly recommend.

Works better than the original Canon battery.
Works better than the original Canon batteries, and you can charge them with a USB-C cable. But because the Canon R5c camera that I use is specifically designed to drain the battery even when the camera is off, I have to remove the battery from the camera when I'm not using it, and that is bad engineering. But it's not the fault of this battery, which does what SmallRig says it will do. If you want respectable battery life with such a camera, you have to get a much bigger battery so the camera can drain the battery even when it's off and you'll still have some power left to run the camera. SmallRig sells some good, larger batteries.

Nice alternative to OEM battery
I purchased this as a spare for my Canon R6 mkii. Works well and I like that I can quickly identify it as an aftermarket battery. Haven’t used the USB charging but that is a nice option to have. The value seems good and worth the price. I gave this 4 stars because I do think it drains a little faster than the OEM battery. Don’t let that deter you too much, since it is pretty close to the same performance and costs about half as much. I personally think it is still worth purchasing.

non-OEM brand works great
the big criticism about the Canon R5C is the working time of these tiny batteries. so be prepared to own a lot of them, or set your rig to have a large battery power source. these are great to have in a bag and the best aspect to them is the direct charge port on the battery housing itself. no more worrying about bringing a charging unit!

Perform well when in use. Not much shelf life.
These batteries perform well when shooting. I've shot a number of events where I've knocked out hundreds of frames and barely made a dent in the battery level. From that perspective they're great. And the ability to recharge with any USB-C chargers is a really nice feature. But one thing these don't have vs. OEM batteries is shelf life. I'm used to my previous Canon camera with Canon OEM batteries that I could charge up, shoot an event, park the camera for a week or two, then pull the camera out and keep going. These aren't that. I fully charged for a visit from my daughter a couple weeks ago. I shot, maybe, 100 to 150 frames. The camera went into the bag. I pulled it out tonight, and both batteries in my Canon battery grip are dead as rocks.I'll definitely hang onto these SmallRig batteries for times when I can plan ahead and put them on chargers. But I'll be tracking down some Canon originals to keep my camera more at-the-ready at all times.

Worked like the original
Worked in a R6 ii. The camera had no problem recognizing the battery. The charge stayed pretty much thru 300+ shots. Used the usb-c cable to recharge with no problem.
