The heat is real and the chills are gone, but there are a few things to keep in mind.
I decided to replace my old space heater as it just wasn't doing the job in my rather poorly insulated home office spot, that also has a sleeping area. This is my initial review after trying it a day, and sleeping there overnight. Pros: Heating: Very impressive space heating. Within first using it I removed "chill zones" and cold nooks and corners, as well as old floor problems like my feet getting frozen. I didn't even have hope I could get rid of some of that draft, but the blowing method this heater uses... actually works. That's amazing, honestly, and it's a great value if you need a cold / unheated room get some decent heat distribution. I'm replacing a 10 year old popular brand heater that wasn't doing anything much for me in the same room. The old heater failed to remove chills from the room, and I was wearing 3 pairs of socks at one point. Now I'm removing layers and relaxing. This to me is the biggest win of this heater, as I was worried about heating this area this winter, now I have hope. Low noise: It's much, much quieter than most heaters... though on eco mode at night in cold weather it can change power levels often which is pretty noticeable and kind of defeats the whisper quiet stuff. (Which is fine, I'll take heat at the end of the day.) So I'd say more like it's quieter in the day time than most other heaters. Honestly it's not something I cared about, but if you are I figure you would count it as a pro. Cons: Warm plug: the plug can get slightly warm when using, including along the whole length of the cord. This immediately tells me this unit could be a risky one in some hands, if they go crazy with the settings. I would not lend this to older seniors or other people known to not give things enough attention. No temperature reading: The heater never shows it's own temperature reading at all, only what it is set to. This kind of surprised me, because letting us read the temp is one way to troubleshoot our home's insulation, or how the unit is working. There's a workaround to this: manually lower the eco mode temp until you reach the level where it's not blowing hard, and then you can assume that's around the temp reading of the unit. It's really surprising the heater won't just show you its temperature though, that feels like a basic feature that's missing. Unusual handle design. As some have pointed out there's no grip on the handle and it's a vertical slope. It's not hard to carry by any means, but the ability to do something by accident like drop it increases with this handle design. Stability - the base has no weight so anyone could tip this over if they trip on the cord or bump into it. Not a big deal if the space you're using it in is controlled, but possibly a big deal if you have pets/kids/elders in the space. Untested: Extreme cold weather - Unfortunately only milder weather is hitting me with a mild winter night (mid 30s) right now. I'd say in this weather it's more than adequate even in some degree of poor insulation situations. However, there's a big test to come in the 20s, teens, and zero outside... and so I'll come back to the review when I test more. Overall: I'm giving it 4 stars now, and an additional star later if it works well in the extreme cold. Yes, even with all the cons mentioned the big thing going for this is the heating output and distance is unreal. It's a no-brainer if you have the right situation for it, because why wouldn't you want to be warm. The price is fine as well. You'll see cheaper heaters out there, but those are best if the space you're in is extremely insulated, small, and easy to heat. I don't think you can do much better than this for the volume of room it somehow reaches in problematic areas. Update: I've tried it in colder weather. Still works. Therefore I'll give it 5 stars.

Great heater- Safe and fast quiet heating
I am originally from the East Coast and I know how essential a space heater is for your home. Believe me, even when there was 2 feet of snow outside, I had the comfort of knowing that I had a space heater that would help me survive the winter. I knew no matter how cold and brutal the day was outside in the cold, I could come back to a warm and cozy room thanks to my space heater. When I decided to move, it was odd to not bring one of my essentials, a space heater, but I had thought I wouldn’t need it on the sunny West Coast. Now that I have moved across the country to the West Coast, I learned that I still need a space heater. The cold, dry nights were still unbearable and so I wanted a space heater that would be smaller, but still effective. I needed it to have more temperature controls than just low heat, medium heat, and high heat so that I could specifically adjust it to the weather since the West Coast does not have as extreme of cold weather. That is when I found this Dreo Space Heater. This space heater is everything I want and more! One of my favorite aspects of this Dreo portable heater is its ability to quickly heat up a room. Before I bought this heater, I would often decide between leaving the heater on while I ran errands so that I could come back to a warm room, and being safe and turning the heater off before leaving. With this rapid heating space heater, I do not have to worry about making the wrong, but more comfortable decision. This space heater heats up an entire room in seriously like 2 minutes. It is perfect. Where I live, it tends to rain a lot in the fall, and when it is cold and rainy, it is hard to want to leave my warm room to go to work, run errands, or even get my mail from the mailbox. But with this space heater, I know as soon as I come back, I can quickly get my room to the temperature I want it to be at. As an owner of a small poodle and a cute tabby cat, safety features are extremely important to me when it comes to space heater. Any electric appliance can be dangerous when left plugged in for too long since they can become a fire hazard, and this is especially true for space heaters since they literally produce… well heat. That is why when I looked for a space heater, I had to make sure it had protective features to ensure they would not be dangerous. Especially if I had my young niece and nephew over during the winter. The Dreo Space Heater is ETL listed and has a dumping power-off protection and overheating power-off protection. The dumping power-off protection is protection against the heater being unplugged, which would cause a load dump and break the electric heater. The overheating power-off protection means that if there even is a slight chance of the machine overheating it shuts itself off. This is good so that even if I do accidentally leave the heater on and leave the house, I do not have to worry about my house burning down and causing possible deaths and severe damages. The Dreo Space Heater is also great for saving on your electricity bill. It is no secret that when you start to use a fan or a space heater, your electric bill will increase since there are more appliances being used for a long period of time. But with this space heater, there are three simple modes that you can use. The first is HI, which blows the heat out at a greater strength. The second option is LOW, which blows heat out with less intensity, this is option is pretty good for saving electricity. The best, and my personal favorite option is the ECO function. The ECO function constantly adjusts the amount of electricity it takes up to match the change of room temperature. The Dreo space heater measures the temperature of the room and keeps the temperature constant to whatever temperature you decide you want your room at, and it saves electricity by not keeping the heater on at full blast. I am an extremely deep sleeper, but of course what is a deep sleeping girlfriend without her light sleeping boyfriend. My boyfriend wakes up even to the soft sound of the birds chirping in the morning, so we make it a point to look for the most quiet fan and space heater that we can find. This Dreo Space Heater is very quiet. It has a very low, soothing hum that is not disruptive or bothersome to sleep next to. The space heater also spreads out the heat very well and it does not feel like there is a hot stream of air jetting at me while I sleep. I also love the easy to use aspect of this space heater. The heater can be controlled with a small, hand held remote that I keep next to my bedside table. The remote can control all of the same functions that can be accessed from the touch screen on the Dreo Space Heater.

Works well for 210sqft attic but trips breaker
I bought this to heat my bedroom on the 3rd floor (attic) that has 5 windows. My house is pretty old and this floor gets very cold in the winter. I have one of those wooden, infrared, Dr. Heater ones but that one left me freezing. I was lucky if it took the chill out of the air. I was looking for a 1500w heater with a large heating element and small footprint. After doing some research, i decided to get this one. Dreo seems to have a good reputation and sells a TON of heaters from what I've seen. I was honestly surprised with the amount of heat this thing puts out. Its currently 42°f outside and this is keeping my room toasty even with some air leakage from my window a/c that I still need to remove or seal up. The oscillation speed is perfect and the heater is very aesthetically pleasing. You can hear the fans running but its not too loud especially across the room. The fans push air for at least 8' on high. The remote works well although i wish it were either lighted or had some sort of texture to the buttons. I have to either shine a light on it or turn the lights on to use it. When changing a setting, the lights will be bright, then it dims and goes back to the default screen. This is nice because it doesn't light up the room when you're trying to relax or go to sleep. This version also comes with a 2 prong plug. The packing methods used for the heater were phenomenal! There were several thick pieces of Styrofoam holding it firmly in place inside of the manufacturer's box. Amazon had shipped it in an oversized box that had no padding to keep the heater from bouncing around inside of it. Regardless, it arrived unscathed. I cannot say the same for my recent Lasko heater, which died after just 2 weeks. I'm glad that one broke because this one is sooooo much better for only a few dollars more! Pros: - Works well to heat a large area - Has an adjustable thermostat - Looks clean and modern - Not very noisy - Doubles as a fan - Lights dim themselves after adjustments - Remote is handy and works well - Packaging was superb Cons: - Remote could be lit up or be textured for easier use - Cord could be a foot or two longer The real test will be when the temps drop below freezing. When that happens or the heater fails, I'll be back with an update. Update: 29°f last night and it kept it pretty comfortable in my room on the highest setting. I don't have a thermometer so my guess would be high 60s to maybe low 70s. Not bad. I'm sure it'll be better once i seal off the window a/c for the winter. Overall I am completely satisfied with my purchase and definitely feel like I got what I paid for! Edit: this unit keeps tripping my breaker at random. I previously used a 1500w heater on high without any issues. I ran it on full blast for 8 hours while i slept and it tripped it not too long after. Its plugged directly into the wall and the only other thing it's shared with is a mini fridge. Its been doing it on both medium and high. I'm going to keep it on low for a while to see if it does it again. I'm not sure if i have a faulty unit or not. I might try returning it for a replacement.

Works well, quiet
It's a really nice heater. It's quiet. It doesn't blast out heavy heat. Just a consistent warmth. Which is good. You cna se the temp or or h1 h2 h3. Only thing that I don't like is, when you turn it off - it blows cold air right on you to cool itself down. Which can dissipate the warmth you've built up. So I rotate it to the side.

The Perfect Heater for Winters
While the temperature changes may be drastic, they often don’t last too long, and switching from cool to heat on your air conditioner can rack up quite the electricity bill, so there’s no reason to run your heating system when there are perfectly fine space heaters on the market with the ability to heat the entire room in no time. Working from home means that I’m in my office practically all day, an office surrounded by windows that let all of the cold air in. I knew I needed a powerful space heater to be able to heat the place enough for my comfort. So, when embarking on my search, I took into consideration a few factors: How fast can the space heater warm up my space? Will the noise interrupt my work meetings? How much will my electricity bill go up? I was ecstatic when I found the Dreo Space Heater! After weeks of searching and temperatures dropping, I was ready to ditch my layers of warm clothing and finally make the purchase. And to my surprise, this space heater did not only meet my expectations but exceeded them! I have mentioned before the three questions that dictated my decision for purchase, and after just a week of using the space heater, I can say with honesty, that the Dreo Space Heater surpassed everything I expected it to be. Fast Heating Working from home has as many perks, working in a cold room is not one of them. When I sit down to start my workday, the last thing I want to do is bundle up with a bunch of sweaters and blankets, so it was important to me that the space heater heats my room in the time it takes me to make my morning coffee, and low and behold, the Dreo Space Heater did exactly that! All I did to ensure I have a warm and cozy environment for the next 8 hours is turn on the space heater immediately after I enter the room. I then proceeded to go make my usual coffee and breakfast. When I return, the entire space feels like comfort at the perfect temperature. Seriously, it takes less than 5 minutes! While the design of the Dreo Space Heater fits very well into my home, a classic black and portable, I was worried that a small space heater wouldn’t be enough for my quite large and spread-out spaces. I was proven wrong with the 70-degree wide-angle oscillation feature that I was pleasantly surprised by. Not only did the space heater increase the temperature in my home quickly and efficiently, but it also left no corner untouched! Each part of the space was equally warm and cozy! Low Noise Working from home comes with its own set of distractions. From the dog barking to the mailman dropping off a package, the last thing I wanted was another noisy machine to distract me during my work meetings. Fortunately, the Dreo Space Heater made zero to no noise. I sometimes forget that it’s on! And that’s where my favorite feature comes into play. Because I often forget to turn things off, the timer feature was extremely useful. I simply set the timer on to the time I want, and let it do its magic. What surprised me more was even if I forget to set the timing, there is another safety measure that the machine will automatically shut down after 24h. So I don’t have to worry whether or not I have turned it off when I leave the house. For a family like me who keeps pets, It’s especially useful that the space heater comes with overheating protection. when it comes to my dog that loves to play around in my space. The last thing I’d want is to bring a fire hazard into my home, a danger that comes with most electrical devices. It puts me at ease knowing that my home is safe with Dreo Space Heater. Low Cost With new electric appliances comes an increase in the electricity bill, or so I thought. In my quest to save money by reducing my use of the central air conditioner in my home, I wanted to keep the streak going. I knew that having an additional appliance would result in higher costs, but I was extremely surprised to find out that the change was so small! I practically did not notice the increase in my bill because it was so insignificant.

Absolutely the best
This Dreo heater unit is the second generation improved version, in 2022 I bought the exact same model but it was the generation 1 version. First I can say that the new generation version I bought because I wanted to make sure I had a replacement unit in place because the other one from 2022 had been operating for over three and a half years almost constantly. I can tell you that this unit is DEFINITELY worth the price! As I wrote in my original review in 2022, Dreo has created an extremely efficient and highly reliable heater system. The original purchase in 2022 has operated for three and a half years flawlessly. I do not recall ever having an issue during all that time. As with the old unit the new version that I just bought is an incredibly smart heating system, you can set it and pretty much forget it. I do admit that I have operated the old heater and the new one in a bedroom that is 350 sq ft so I can't say how it does in a large air space, but in my bedroom which is a large bedroom it has performed excellent and perfectly no matter what the weather conditions are outside. If you set it for 75°F (23.9 C) it maintains the temperature within approximately 1/2 a degree! First of all having a remote control is really really nice! I can be laying in bed and still be able to set it without having to get up. The ECO mode allows it to completely operate automatically, microprocessor calculating which wattage range to set to based on how cold it is and does an excellent job, not to mention that mode has saved me as much as 60% on my electric bill during the winter when compared to a more conventional quartz heater. It is extremely quiet, in fact the second generation which I just bought, has a nice feature: the "°F" symbol next to the temperature setting will blink on and off when the unit is not heating and go steady when it actually is heating so I know when it's actually heating and what it is not I like that compared to the first generation unit. It has an incredibly smart feature for absolute safety: one of the most dangerous things that happens with space heaters is if you have a bad connection with your receptacle on the wall (older house or older mobile home can have worn out outlets) and has been known to be the number one cause of house and Mobile home fires! This unit actually has a temperature sensor built into the plug that plugs into the wall, and feeds a signal back to the heater telling it if the plug is getting too hot, and if it starts to get above a dangerous temperature the unit actually shuts down and starts blinking at you indicating the problem. This is an excellent safety feature! The second generation unit has a display that stays turned on all the time unlike the first generation unit that would completely go blank during operation, however it has a automatic brightness capability so that when you turn off your lights at night to go to sleep it dims automatically, but I like having the display always showing so I know what the setting is on it and whether it's heating or not. Being that I have been a three and a half year user of this model I can confidently tell you it is definitely a good investment it has worked like a perfect workhorse for three and a half years which is something that does not happen with other heaters which typically die within two winters! My older model from 2022 is now my backup unit that operates along with the new unit only when the temperatures get really very cold like below freezing during the day. I can really not strongly enough recommend this heater for the price tag it is most definitely worth having. Dreo also has absolutely superb customer service that's always available I highly recommend you register the unit when you receive it Well done DREO!

Good heater, but started making random noise after less than two weeks
Overall, the DREO Space Heater Indoor is a good product. It heats up the room quickly, looks nice, and is easy to use. I was happy with it at first and it worked well for daily use. However, after less than two weeks of usage, it started making random noise sounds, as shown in my video. The noise does not happen all the time, but it seems to occur randomly, especially during the night, which is very disturbing when trying to sleep. Since this is a space heater often used in a bedroom or quiet room, the unexpected noise is disappointing. I like the heating performance and design, but the noise issue makes me concerned about the build quality or long-term reliability. I hope the seller or manufacturer can help resolve this, because otherwise it would be a very solid product.

Perfect high-tech space heater
As someone who lives by the beach, the winters are EXTREMELY cold… well at least by California’s standards. During the winter nights, I tend to sleep with at least three layers of blankets, and I hate that I have to wear socks at night. It can be expensive to use central heating all day and night, but with this Dreo space heater, I can just warm up my room without worrying about the cost of heating the entire house when everyone is sleeping. After all, I don’t want to be paying to keep the kitchen warm in the middle of the night. Smart Eco mode I have been looking for a more high-tech space heater since I would often accidentally leave my old one on all day and this DREO space heater is perfect. I feel incredibly safe leaving this space heater on in the house while my housemates are in a different room since, in Eco mode, the heater adjusts to the temperature in the room to keep the temperature constant. That way, I know the space heater won’t make the room extremely hot and a fire hazard while I am away. I still would not recommend leaving it on while you are away for long periods of time or when no one is in the house, but if you are leaving to grab a quick coffee and want your room to stay warm, it seems to be acceptable. Eco mode is also only one of three modes. The Dreo Space heater has HI, LOW, and ECO modes which are tailored to the strength the heater will flow at. I find the strength of Low to be just perfect for a place that has winter nights at about 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Instant warm and super quiet I love that it heats up the room almost immediately and I don’t have to wait 10 minutes before I feel warm and comfortable. In fact, the entire living room is warm within minutes. My roommate used to complain that the heater was only facing me since we sleep on opposite sides of the room, but now with this oscillating space heater, it hits all of the cold spots in the room and we both sleep very comfortably. The noise is also not too loud which is a big deal for me. I am a very light sleeper and some of the electric heaters can be very loud or have an annoying humming noise. I can just tell this space heater is very high quality. There is very minimal noise and I do not have a problem sleeping through the night with this space heater. Wide oscillation I love how wide the oscillation is on the space heater. It rotates nearly 90 degrees so that the entire room is heated and there are no cold drafts coming through the room. Sometimes, when the room gets stuffy, I like to leave the window open for fresh air, during the night, but in the winter it gets pretty cold. Thats why this Dreo oscillating electric heater is needed to keep the room warm while having fresh air circulating in and out of the room. This space heater is also very portable. In fact, it is half the size of my oscillating fan and I love it because I can easily transport it from my parents’ house to my house while I am in school. I can easily pack this space heater into the car and transport it back and forth when needed.

Exceeded expectations. Very impressive product. If it lasts, 10/10.
Dreo Tower Heater Well I’ve been through the gamut of brand names. Bought everywhere from Costco to Walmart. Most of these ceramic 1500 watt heaters are the same. The biggest difference I found is how well the fans work which in the end equates to how well they put heat in their space. This time I went to my trusty YouTube source of Project Farm. His testing of several heaters, using his intricate home made methods are always fascinating. In the end he chose this Dreo model as being his favourite. So I was sold. This heater is good. Probably the best tower model we’ve had in the house in all the years yet. It wins because the fans blow heat out several feet and in doing so, fills a nice small to medium room easily. In our case it’s the master bedroom. I have no idea who Dreo is as a company. Do they build economy products? Premium? Are they reliable? This is now my experiment I guess. When I unboxed it my wife thought ‘oh another lousy heater to try’. Not in this case. She loves this one. We both do. It has three settings, 1500 watt and two lower settings. But we keep it on ECO mode, which is essentially the thermostat setting. We punch in our desired temperature and the Dreo will get there and when it does, automatically shut off. When the room cools some, it automatically turns back on to get the temp back to where you set it. This process continues indefinitely, so once you set your comfortable temperature you really set and forget. Our last heater was a no name Amazon brand and honestly, even when new, it wasn’t good. But we kept it for a season and once we hit minus 10 degrees Celsius, we had to make a change. Even though we have central HVAC, our master bedroom is always too cold in the winter and too hot in summer. With this Dreo tower heater, as long as it lasts (it’s the only think I can’t account for as we’ve had it for only a week), then this is a great buy. On top of the aforementioned, it’s nice looking, extremely quiet (we have to look at it sometimes to see if it’s on), it comes with a remote control (pretty standard fare) and a printed instruction manual. I’d say so far this nearly perfect. My only con, and this goes with pretty much all these heaters, is every time I try to use the remote control, it seems to be after the sun has gone down and the room has soft lighting. With my ‘mature’ eyes, I can never see the indicator markings on the remote. I have to break out my flashlight. I would love to see an illuminated remote control. I’d pay extra for it personally. Luckily, you don’t need the remote much, especially if you put the ECO mode on (recommended). But sometimes in bed, my wife says, it’s too hot now (I seem to be the remote control king in this house so she looks at me). Small issue and the beauty is, we we now have a heater that has the ability to overheat our room, something I don’t think any other heater we’ve had before could ever do. If it lasts - absolutely recommended.
