Amazing build and performance!
These headphones are phenomenal I purchased as an open box set through Amazon for a bit of a discount. I had been reading/watching reviews on these and their cheaper "clone" the Blon B20. Well, the reviews are on point. My other main headphones are the MassdropxSennheiser HD6xx and the MassdropxHifiman HE4xx. Both of these headphones are amazing for the price. I mention these as they are probably two of the most popular headphones in the hifi market right now. I feel the Aiva is an excellent complement/upgrade to these. Here is a general summary of my impressions thus far after just a few hours of listening. Will update again later. In general I have been testing these using the Chord Mojo DAC/Amp streaming TIdal Lossless. I will be revising later once I also test these out with my MassdropxCavalli Liquid Carbon X balanced amp and also the Darkvoice 336se amp.Build: These are just beautifully constructed. The wood cups are highly polished and smooth. I've seen some reviewers claim they are vinyl and not wood because of this. Definitely not vinyl..... The construction is all metal, wood and leather. These are one of the best constructed headphones I have ever seen at ANY price point. 10/10 on construction.Portability: They come with a great case (though as other reviewers have noted, it kind of looks like a butt). But these are not going to be the headphones you travel with on the train or to the office. They are open back and will leak out/in a lot of sound. Literally everyone around you will know what you are listening too and you will not block them out. These also benefit the most from a dedicated amp. I used my Note 8 to power them when I took them out of the box. To get adequate volume, the phone was at about 80% of its output. So, while they can be driven by a portable device like a phone, you will really want to have something more to drive them. The Chord Mojo has plenty of power for driving these.Cable: Many people complain about cables on hifi headphones and end up replacing them (usually at an unnecessarily high cost). The cable that comes with these is hand braided copper. It is a very beautiful and functional cable. My only complaint is that they terminate the cable in a 4.4 mm balanced connection. This really isn't practical for most users. They do provide a 4.4 mm to 3.5 mm adapter for single ended connections. But these likely will sound their best when played back balanced...... I have not played back balanced yet (which is mainly why I intend to update my review again). The balanced connection is going to be the preferred method. But I am waiting for my 4.4 mm to 4 pin XLR connection cable. I also want to become more familiar with the single ended sound to really experiment and see what the improvements are going balanced. There is a separate 4 pin XLR adapter made to match these headphones for about $75. 8/10Treble: These are definitely brighter tuned headphones. The treble is more on the aggressive end..... but definitely NOT SIBILANT. What this does provide for is a very energetic and detailed treble region. the top end also does not roll off very early. So, the treble you are hearing appears to be very balanced all the way up. This makes for very nice cymbal hits. All this translates to this being one of the most detailed if not the most detailed full sized headphone I have ever heard. 9/10Mids: The mids are just a little recessed. What this really means is that the vocals are set back just a little bit in the mix of a track. These headphones give the impression that you are listening to the performer in say a live concert. As a comparison, the HD6xx is a little more of a mid-centric sound. This gives more of the impression that you are the microphone in the recording studio. I think both are good. It really matters most what your desired headphone sound signature is. Vocals on these are still very much detailed and enjoyable. Though I do enjoy vocals on the HD6xx more.... but there is a lot more to the audio spectrum than what happens in the midrange. Having both these and the HD6xx are definitely a good complement. 8/10Bass: Bass is good. For many headphones (especially open back) the bass can be a bit underwhelming or midbass is boosted to compensate for a lack of sub-bass. The bass on these is slightly elevated over neutral. It is still very balanced. The planar drivers also ensure there is plenty of detail in the sound. 8/10Overall sound: The overall sound of these headphones is very much detailed and smooth. They provide for a very clean sound without any grain/distortion. The sound signature definitely tilts to the treble side. But after using them, I don't think this is a bad thing. They provide for a very engaging and energetic sound signature. 9/10Soundstage: These are not as narrow as the HD6xx but also not as wide as the HE4xx. They are a good balance. When listening to large orchestral recordings, the HE4xx's wide soundstage is very nice to have. Though on some vocal recordings it looses some of the magic that the HD6xx can provide. But that same magic from the HD6xx can also be a hindrance when listening to these same recordings that benefit from the wider staging. The Aiva is somewhere in the middle. So, it is really more of an all around good performer. It isolates instruments well and provides great separation. 7/10All in all, these are an excellent headphone under $1,000 but the price to performance ratio is still better on the HD6xx and the HE4xx..... which are going to be extremely difficult to beat. If you are looking for the best sound for the money, consider these cheaper alternatives first. They both scale very well with amplification. However, if you want the best all around performer, regardless of the cost, the Aiva is a formidable headphone to beat. I think will be taking the place of most of my other headphones at this point.

The headphones connect by Bluetooth
They look exactly like apple’s headphones but when you plug them in your phone will ask to connect by Bluetooth. The name “Beatsx” will pop up. They do work and make a beep noise when inserted. You don’t have to connect them every time though. They get very loud so that’s good.

Best for the price
After wasting money yet again on wireless/bluetooth earbuds (returned them the next day -- volume low, one side kept losing sound, charge didn't last anywhere near what box claimed), I found these on this site (almost impossible to find in stores), and back to normal. These were not only less expensive than wireless, they provide excellent, uninterrupted sound you can crank up (to a still-safe level, of course...). My advice: stick with wired while still available until wireless tech is improved considerably.

bluetooth ?
what they don’t include is that they must connect via bluetooth in order for them to work, even when they are plugged into your phone. kind of defeats the purpose of the wire ??? other than that they are great headphones and good sound quality but will be returning because not what i was looking for!

Comically Horrible
I purchased these to use with my phone. My airpods have been on the blink and I wanted some cheap, reliable, wired earbuds that I could trust not to cut out on me during a call. That's all. When I plugged them in I was treated to the most horrific, obnoxious, earsplittingly loud sound effect ever to have entered my ear canals. Okay, I thought, maybe I just had the volume up too high. This assault on my senses was immediately followed by a pop up that asked if I wanted to connect my Beats earbuds. This only added to my confusion. I was quite sure that the product I ordered was not officially licensed by Beats, but I pressed "connect" nevertheless. When a bluetooth connection entitled "Baets" popped up, I began to suspect that something unusual was afoot. After some experimentation I discovered, to my growing horror, that the earbuds simply refused to carry sound unless I connected them through bluetooth. My WIRED earbuds. Would only connect. Through bluetooth. I was beginning to get the picture. This confounding device was made this way on purpose. It was some bizarre art piece created as a commentary on mankind's increasing reliance on needlessly complex technology. Either that or it was a cheap piece of garbage.Nevertheless, I didn't want to give up on these earbuds without listening to them at least once. Maybe I would be pleasantly surprised. Maybe the sound quality would be so impressive that I would be willing to forgive the product's faults. What a fool I was. I popped them into my ears and played a song. First of all, these things are deafeningly loud. Like sticking your head in a jet engine loud. The lowest possible volume is just loud enough to be uncomfortable, and at the highest possible volume the things can be used as a portable speaker. And the sound quality. Imagine a dilapidated 1940s radio trying desperately to croak out a tune while being waterboarded with worcestershire sauce and you'd have an accurate idea of the unholy sounds these earbuds produce. This product has very positive ratings, and was even presented as "amazon's choice," so I want to believe I just got unlucky and received an inferior version due to a brief lapse in quality control. So, if you want to take the chance, be my guest. But if your earbuds are as loud as a freight train and sound like a Dalek between two mattresses, don't say I didn't warn you.

Work
These earbuds are not apple brand but connect to my iPhone and fit my ears just like my original Apple pair. Happy with the sound quality.
