Time Released Feature a Huge Plus!
I've used this product since 2022 and love it! The timed release feature makes it so much more effective. This is the only Vitamin C I would purchase.

Another example of Freeda's high quality and ingenuity
It is my experience that vitamin supplements make a huge difference in the quality of my life. I have been interested in nutrition for almost my entire life. My mother was a nutritionist and gave my brothers and I a thorough education as to sensible choices when it comes to food. For various reasons, my lifestyle as I grew older required that I study nutrition formally and informally. Many years ago I came to the conclusion that taking a gram of Vitamin C every day helps augment our natural immune system. The problem is that the human body can only assimilate about 500 mg (1/2 gram) at a time (the rest is excreted in the urine or, if a very large amount is consumed . . . well, never mind). I personally find it a bit difficult to take food supplements in the afternoon and evening in addition to what I take in the morning, and therefore used to only supplement my vitamin c intake with 500 mg a day. I have used Freeda vitamins for many years. The company's founders had a vast amount of nutritional information, from which they formulated high-quality products in forms that are easily assimilated by the human body. Therefore, when I learned that Freeda was selling a time-release for of Vitamin C, I was overjoyed. However, be warned that these pills are large-sized, however I do not believe that they are much larger than regular Vitamin C 500 mg pills. I've been taking this product for a couple of years now and am very satisfied with it.

Timed release ascorbic acid alone
I really like that this timed release C is ascorbic acid by itself without bioflavonoids. The bottle does not say over how long a time the C is released. Based on my own subjective sense, it feels to me to be released over about 4 hours. For comparison I have another timed release C made by Solaray (a capsule with bioflavs) that releases over about 10 hours. I am not saying one is "better" or "worse" — I like having both products as I use them at different times. And I appreciate that this C is made by Freeda, a GMP supplement company with a long history.

Excellent Vitamin C Supplement
I'm allergic to some of the bioflavinoids found in typical vitamin C products. It's hard to find a timed release vitamin C without them which is hypoallergenic. I'm very happy to have discovered your product, and always recommend timed release C since the body can only hold about 250 mg of C at a time before excreting it. The timed release form conserves the total C we are getting by slowly releasing it throughout the day!
