Impressive
Have had problem with black mold forming around windows in my cottage (first winter here) there was also problem with damp feeling wall. After reading reviews on various dehumidifiers I decided to go with this one as I did not wont some huge thing nor did I want something that would just not cut it thanks to people reviewing items the decision was made.I must say it is impressive it is quite but I don't use it through the night but to be fair I don't think it would keep you awake. I have been using this for a few months now and it has made a massive difference. When first started using was getting about a litre of water with two to three hours use a day now I am hardly getting a drop of water and not getting the black mold back which was really upsetting. I cant recommend this enough it is easy to move around as it is on wheels it's not to heavy so can carry it upstairs easy enough It has a massive 10ltr tank which bleeps if it gets to full. The tank pulls out from the back very easy for emptying.. The settings are easy to use the main one I think Is the percentage you set which has a range from 40% to 80%. So when you turn machine on it will read what the moisture content is in the room I found it to be pretty accurate within couple of degrees. If it reads say 60% and you then set machine to 50% the machine will work until it reaches the desired setting (50%) and turn itself off and when the moisture rises again it will turn back on.Brilliant bit of kit Well worth the money would highly recommend to any one.

Very impressed!!
So I'm not one to leave reviews. But I feel like this deserve it. After receiving the package and leaving it to stand for 24 hours I set this up. I have external humidity sensors around my house and decided to focus on the worst rooms first. (My bedroom being the main one) my bedroom was reading around 80% humidity and after turning in the machine and letting the sensor sit detecting for 10 minutes it also was reading 80% so I knew that my humidity sensors was correct. I turned the machine on high and left running from 9am to 8pm and in that time it took the humidity down to 51% and on emptying the box into a jug it had collected 1.8liters! Which may not sound alot but I felt the difference within the room!.. it's small and compact appearance it blends into any space and no noiser then a standard fan that you would use to cool your room. It's a great and simple design. And very easy to use. 10/10

Works well, a touch noisy but seems good value
It works really quite well, it was easy to set up and use, for the first couple of days it was working hard, but it's reduced the humidity levels in the house now and it comes on and off as required. It does require emptying ever other day at the moment, but that's fine as it's easy enough. The fan is actually nice and quiet, the compressor makes a bit of noise, and is a bit louder than our previous unit, but it is smaller and is surprisingly compact so requires a little less room while performing just as well. I'm pleased with it so far. As for longevity I can't comment on that as we haven't had it long at all.

UPDATE - It does work just fine
Update on the below…I received a replacement unit that works perfectly, doesn’t make the strange noise that the first one did and actually sucks up the same, if not more than my other Meaco now. I just had a faulty unit at first. It’s a tad noisier, but that’s mr being picky and is actually really good value for money.——Ok. Let me start by saying that it does work. It just doesn’t work very well. Maybe as I’m comparing it against my Meaco, but in the week we’ve been using it, quite a lot of the time, it hasnt become full at all.The Meaco (in the same area) used to pull out a lot more moisture especially from wet washing. We’ve moved the Meaco to our outbuilding but this is just not very good. It also makes an odd noise (video attached) when it’s first switched on (and no, it’s not water dripping) so not sure if the unit is faulty?Either way, we’ve had to bring the Meaco back in and will be returning this as the performance just isn’t up to scratch. Unless anyone has any amazing idea why this isn’t working as most of the reviews seem to be?

Very poor
Where do I start. The castors don't fit, and leave the dehumidifier in a precarious, wobbly state. There is a noise like a rustling piece of paper coming from inside while it is running, which goes when it enters defrost mode. The humidity display goes all over the place. It started at 82%, then went quickly to 77%, then back up to 79%, then 80%, then down to 76%, then back up to 80% again. Meanwhile my desktop humidity meter had gone from 82%, down to 71%, where it stubbornly stayed despite this wobbly, noisy piece of junk being on for more than 6 hours. Amount of water collected in 6 hours = 115ml. 12 litres a day, no chance! I have humidity meters in two other rooms in the bungalow, and I left all the doors open, but they stayed in the high 70's. So much for the 1500 sq ft coverage, because my house is well under that figure. Finally there's the claim on the product page that this uses 21watts of electricity, when it actually uses an average of 210 watts. One can excuse a slight margin of error, but not when the actual figure is 10 TIMES the figure quoted! So, at current electricity costs you are looking at between £1.50 and £2 a day to run this 24/7.If you are going to buy a dehumidifier, I would pay the extra and buy one from a reputable brand, that extracts moisture a lot more efficiently than this, and doesn't sound like it's going to break down when it's first plugged in. I want my money back!UPDATE:- Although my review stands based on my experience, I was approached by the manufacturer within 24 hours offering me an apology, and a no strings attached full refund. I have to say I am really impressed by this, because it shows they stand by their product, are quick to address any issues, and have excellent customer service.
