I used this train for a craft project and it came out very well. A friend then bought one for her 3 yr old grandson and he loves using it. It doesn't hook together very easily but that didn't bother him, he thought the individual pieces were great, nothing says they can't be hot glued together either . The tube itself is interesting with the revolving globe at the top. For my purpose it got 5 stars.. For children's play probably a 3 is closer. Toob makes a whole line of these other than trains, such as zoo animals and ranches. Some lean towards kids play better than others and any can be used for craft projects.

Purchased for my 4 year old who is a train fanatic. Package arrived in a timely manor but we were very disappointed when we got it out to play with. None of the wheels move or roll. The train cars bow and will not stand up easily with out falling over. It is very hard to get the trains to attach to each other the couplers are real flimsy and I'm scared if I force it they will break. They do look like real trains and some of the small details are cool but I would not recommend for play.

I bought this little train set to have put on the grooms cake for my recent wedding on the 16th of Dec. My husband was a locomotive engineer for 28 yrs and he was thrilled with what I had done for him.The quality of the train was great and I received it in record time.Thanks Myrna

I love Safari Ltd TOOBs. They have never steered me wrong, until this set. These trains just do not stay together. It is very frustrating for a 4 year old. As an adult, I even had issues putting some of these together.

These tiny trains are very nice and each can tell what it carries. It has cargo cars and passenger cars. A small red caboose car at the end. The black steam engine leads to were ever a curious little mind wants to go. They are fun by it self or in addition to other types of toobs.

The train cars in this set are bowed into a curve. They are extremely hard to connect to each other and come apart too easily. Not as fun to play with as I had hoped.

Anything trains for our grandson. Wish there were more train toys for those little boys who live, breathe, play, and talk about trains everyday. It will be under the Christmas tree or in his stocking this year.
