Great portable scanner
I purchased this updated version of my old, and unfortunately dead—after 6 years of heavy use—eS 200 scanner. The new unit looks and functions exactly like my old ES 200. The unit has an adjustable paper guide; I just wish they provided an insertable, fixed guide for different paper sizes, like Fujitsu provides on their desktop units.

Fantastic scanner!
This scanner works flawlessly! the automatic feeder is blazing fast! it works with MacOS with zero problems!! Highly recommended!

Good scanner -tricky for Mac users
As mentioned by another reviewer, this Epson scanner is quite a challenge to install if you are a Mac user.What I assumed would be a simple plug & play installation took me hours to complete.This involved the use of the Terminal app, and much online research to find the workarounds.Long story short, getting the Mac OS to "see" the scanner seemed to be the main problem all round.MacOS Mojave 10.14.3 does not support this Epson product, according to both Apple and Epson websites, so the set-up problems seem to be inevitable.My scanner interfaces are now via Epson's own Scan 2 interface, Image Capture and Adobe PSE13.All that aside, the DS-1630 is fast and the top-sided paper feed is snappy.Now it's running, it's fine and looking to be a good purchase.

J'écris un commentaire :1) - pour remercier tous ceux qui ont donné leur avis, posé une question, m'ayant ainsi permis de mieux connaître ce produit, évaluer s'il correspondait à ce que je cherchais et au final choisir de l'acheter,2) - pour faire part de ma satisfaction, aux motifs suivants : - peu encombrant, je peux l'utiliser sur un petit plan de travail, et je l'ai affecté à un second ordinateur éloigné du poste de travail habituel, ce qui y procure une autonomie supplémentaire - le cordon de branchement au port USB de l'ordinateur est long (1,58m hors tout), et un lien velcro épargne tout "emmêlage" lors de son rangement - l'installation, à partir du CD-ROM est des plus faciles - le résultat du scan est très bon, et pour l'optimiser il reste à se familiariser avec un paramétrage personnalisé - il scanne rapidement (en tout cas + vite qu'avec mon imprimante/scan Epson XP-302, certes déjà un peu ancienne) J'en réserve l'usage au scan de documents papier en bon état, (les autres supports sont scannés sur l'imprimante - scan)
