Draper 78772 2-in-1 Soldering and Heat Gas Torch

This little gas soldering iron, proved to be a good replacement for my weller that gave up the ghost after 10 years,Only down side is the lack of attatchments, the tip of this iron is very large and the heat off it can be very high (adjustable)the on off switch is very effective, flick the switch and off it goes. Lights first time each time.

The picture is very misleading. It shows what looks like a pointed tip, in fact it's a spade tip with the picture taken at a deceiving angle.

Highly overpriced for what it is, I haven't used it as I have no idea what refill to buy as this isn't indicated in the very brief instructions.If you want a small soldering iron, look for something better than this..

So far it has always ignited first time and I have managed to solder together 2-3mm flexes without trouble. This iron has so far done everything I've asked of it.

Awesome soldering iron with ample power to flow solder into 5mm2 wires. I have just binned my first one which I used everyday for about a year (Auto electrician by trade) and went through around 3 tips in that time.

Worth the money

Very versatile soldering tool used for heavy repairs to antique/vintage clock mechanisms. Good heat control pistol grip ignition simple to use.

The gas torch is good and the handy base means it's easy to put down while it's on/hot. However, the soldering tip has a cross section profile of 10x2mm - something like a heavyweight cross head screwdriver - which makes it a poor soldering iron. The photo seems to show a point on the soldering tip, but this is misleading.In summary - gas torch good, soldering iron poor. The Dremmel Versatip might be a better choice.

Produit d'assez bonne qualité malgré le corps tout plastique. Facile à remplir, simple d'utilisation (une fois qu'on a compris comment fonctionne le système de panne amovible pour passer du mode fer à souder au mode chalumeau, mais rien de bien sorcier). Bouton on/off, molette de réglage de la puissance, pas besoin d'allumettes. Moi qui ai un peu la trouille de ces trucs là je suis très satisfaite.

Consomme beaucoup de gaz, et en plus on se brûle les doigts avec le système d'éclairageachat a ne pas faire

Acheté en promotion, ce petit chalumeau ( et fer à souder) est solide et bien conçu, bien en main et a une très bonne autonomie.Le fer à souder n'est pas fait pour la soudure fine mais rempli son role sans faiblir en atelier.

Excellent produit. Tout à fait ce que j'attendais. Je recommande ce produit à tous ceux qui en ont besoin. Parfait.
