Reusable after a quick wash, which I do once per week. Good at collecting scum. Cute and functional.

It’s hard to tell how much they soak up oils because I think my wife uses too much aroma in the hot tub but the fact that it’s hard to tell makes me knock them a little.

Don’t really know what it’s doing…..but it’s a cute little floater. A glorified scruffy pad…….

It does well for about 10 minutes then they sink into the water and stops working

Not much use when they no longer float. Purchased 4 months ago. I rotate the out weekly, and wash, during my maintenance. They won't soak up anything but water when they don't float.

These little whales are totally adorable! I've been using scum absorbers in my hot tub for years, and they absolutely do work. I highly recommend them for anyone who owns a hot tub! None of my previous scum absorbers have been enclosed in cute little covers like these. You really only need to use one at a time in most cases. They can be washed out and reused several times. These little whales are attached to short lanyards with suction cups that stick to the side of your hot tub, preventing them from being sucked into the skimmer/filter compartment, and they look really cute hanging out in the hot tub. I will say that I was kind of blown away by the price. I am accustomed to paying less than half as much for the good old fashioned sponge absorbers without the decorative covers. Time will tell if these work any better, but my gut is that you're paying a big premium for a cute little cover and a suction cup. If that matters to you, then go for it!
