I have never used a product like before and I was/ am curious. Placenta cells are different than other cells. This product arrived with many claims but not much proof (studies or at least documentation of how this product works). The capsules were not too difficult to swallow. This is very pricey and I will not be purchasing more. I am disappointed that the science behind this product isn’t easier to find.

I was a little hesitant taking placenta pills but I have read about all of the health benefits and the skin renewing powers of the sheep placenta so I decided to give it a try. These seem like they are reputable. The pills are huge which is why I took a star off. I prefer to take smaller pills but I also understand that the placenta takes up a lot of space.

This supplement named “Classaanta sheep placenta plus, by CellLabs, was manufactured by Alpha Laboratories LTD, located in Auckland, New Zealand. This supplement uses a mix of Ovine Placenta Powder Extract, Silk Amino Acids, and Marine Collagen to name a few of the ingredients. All these ingredients can make for a very expensive supplement on their own. The value of this supplement, is that these ingredients ( and a few more) are all included in one capsule! because of this, I can justify the price set by the seller.I have been taking this supplement for almost two weeks, and have noticed an improvement in my gut health, which I didn’t expect. I thought I would see improvement of my complexion, but what this supplement did was help alleviate a digestive issue I’ve been dealing with for years. It helped to reduce swelling and bloating in my upper Colon. It is actually very noticeable, even after only taking this for a short time frame.I also wanted to applaud the manufacture for aggressively wrapping and packaging this product. It gave me great confidence that this supplement is packaged by persons who understand the importance of keeping their product fresh and safe for the consumer. There are also “LOT” and “date freshness” codes on the multiple ares of the packaging.

As we all succumb to the consequences of time, our bodies age and we all crave another taste of youth or at least desire to age gracefully and in wellness. The cosmetic industry is most notable for selling supposed magic in tiny bottles while generating billions in profits. I believe in the body simply knowing how to maintain itself provided we give it the needed nutrients and select wise lifestyle choices. Beyond consuming natural foods and avoiding processed treats with all their added salt sugar and unhealthy fats, traditional cultures sometimes try alternate remedies. One of those is sheep placenta. I'd never given that possibility serious consideration until I was given the opportunity to test this product. There have been lab studies though with lab animals suggesting that placenta can have some positive effects, most notably on regenerating liver cells, at least in my limited reading. After just one delivery for one month, I wish I could report some noticeable benefit or change. Perhaps over a longer time span that might have presented itself. If a healthcare provider suggests trying this for some specific benefit then it might be worth a longer term commitment. Since it is a somewhat costly addition to a daily regimen certainly do you due dilligence.

UPDATED REVIEW: I have lowered this to one star as my wife just finished the whole package and her skin has actuallly been worse this month as she took them. She thought she was breaking out but the dermatologist said it is rosacea which she has never had in her fourty years of life. I dont know if that is a coincidence BUT this did nothing for her as far as give her any benefits. Disappointed.My wife has high hopes for these! She is on day 14 of this packet and hasn't seen any benefits yet. For the price she says "They better do something!" They are filled with Sheep placenta powder, astaxanthin, marine collagen, avocado oil, silk amino acid and lycopene. She is mostly excited to see if it helps her skin elasticity. It is big but easy to swallow. It has an enteric coating which is cool bc those are proven to resist stomach acid and only dissolve in small intestine for better absorption. I am giving three stars for now but when she finishes in 16 more days I will come back and upgrade that to let you know if she sees any changes.

Cut one open out of curiosity (image uploaded for others' curiosity) -- these definitely look like something I'd expect a sheep placenta to look like. The pills are rather large although they did go down relatively smoothly. After about half of one of the packs, it didn't seem so bad swallowing them (aka I got more confidence I wasn't going to choke). I have eczema on my hands so had hoped it would show some improvement after taking all of the pills but I didn't. Granted this product might not target my type of eczema (or my docs have misdiagnosed me). If I were told that I just needed to just take more, I can't say that I would given the price. That said, depending on your condition and goals, your mileage may vary.
