First Time Needle Felting and Dying Wool
This wool seems to hold up to dry needle felting and dying. I'm a first timer with no previous experiences to compare to. Maybe I'll think to come and update this review once I am more experienced in the craft.

VERY GOOD PRODUCT
I love this roving. It is extremely soft and a joy to spin yarn with it. This is my second order, and I will be ordering more. The plastic container that it comes in is huge plus that is reusable for other things. I wish it came in more colors.

Good as core wool for needle felting
My wife says: Being new to needle felting I started with a needle felting sample kit that came with tiny quantities of different colored wool. Buying this white roving in bulk to use on the insides of my projects will 'stretch' the more expensive colored wool. The roving was as pictured in the listing and weighed 493 grams -just a little less than advertised but still a good value.

Convenient container
I'm still pretty new to felting so I can't really speak to how great quality this wool is, but it works well for me! This is great for helping to create shapes where I can add colored wool on top of (which I have a lot less of) and has been good for practice. Since there's so much of it, I'm not scared to try new things.I like that this comes in a structured container so it's easy to grab pieces out of and stuff them back. Very convenient!

It's perfect as core wool I always make my creations too small so this has been so useful to help combat that it firms up really well.

500g is a few good sized handfuls
My first impressions with this wool is that it is softer than other felting wool I've come across. It is more packed together so that could have something to do with it but it almost feels slightly synthetic despite the listing calling it natural. There's nothing indicating it is indeed 100% wool. It is nice that this comes in a large plastic jar (like cookie jar size for the 500g option) w/ a screw on cap. Time will tell how it holds up to felting.
