The best $400 flagship you can buy
Absolutely love this phone, my previous phone a moto x play served me well for a couple years however battery was no longer holding a charge well and it became tough to use even charging it at any chance. Anyway, i bought this phone due to price (even though i paid about $15 extra to get it same day due to being out of stock at the better price) and of course the screen and specs. This was the cheapest phone i could find with a Snapdragon 835.Cons:-No headphone jack (a USB C- 3.5mm adaptor included). There is room for it, this is annoying to me.-No wireless charging (there is an S version i believe with this feature though more difficult to find and more expensive obviously)-Global version (I am in the United States) it does come with adaptor for our electric plug but its super bulky. Otherwise phone works excellent, see pros.-This is somewhat a con though it is also somewhat a pro. The screen does go nearly to the edges however the glass DOES go to the edges which means a drop on the edge will almost certainly shatter your screen, id say good case and screen protector is a necessity.-No US warranty, knew this going in and you should as well although ive never used a warranty on a phone since i started using cell phones nearly 20 years ago.-The notification LED is white only, i would have liked an RGB LED here so as to assign different colors to different apps or different contacts.Neutral:+-Ceramic back, this is absolutely beautiful but it picks up fingerprints so easily. I and most will have a case so its somewhat a moot point.+-Call quality seems to be better than my last phone however id prefer to get more time on this to rate it.+-Speakers are fine nothing special, they get loud, bottom firing stereo and sound like phone speakers.Pros:+The screen is gorgeous, not OLED but still really nice colors and sharp text also gets fairly bright though many high end phones beat it here.+Battery life is excellent 3400mAh, i easily went a day with 50% battery left when i woke up with lots of texting, downloading apps, screen on time though this was not heavy use by any means. Also has battery management built into settings with a lot of different ways to prolong battery life.+It comes with a case in the box! I love when phone manufacturers do this it is such a simple inclusion that makes a huge difference especially when your phone is from China and the cases ship from there take forever to arrive. (I ordered the TipTop dual layer case https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076TSHRP4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which could possibly take a month to be delivered).+Phone is quite quick owing to the Snapdragon 835 and 6GB of ram have yet to wait for anything where i wished for a faster phone, this is top end and it is lovely.+Software, ive heard a lot of people bemoan MIUI and i honestly though i would as well however i am quite enjoying it, it is on Android Oreo as of June 2018 and everything is fast and good looking. Stock android is great, probably better, but one thing (at least) i love on MIUI is the gestures which can replace the navigation buttons! It takes a bit to get used to them but now i have they work excellent and i dont have my screen eaten up by nav buttons, this is huge to me. It will not get updates as fast as pure google phones and it is unknown how far Xiaomi will continue updating it to new android versions.+Buttons are well placed and feel good.+USB C -this is the current standard, anything still using micro USB in 2018 is worth a pass IMO.+Fingerprint reader is in an awesome location and is FAST+NFC so you can use android pay+Bluetooth 5! Not a lot of devices for this but it is the latest standard which is great.+Knock to wake, or i don't know what Xiaomi calls it but you can tap the screen twice quickly to turn the screen on from sleep, loved this on my LG and absolutely love its return here.+You can set your home as a 'safe zone' which will keep it unlocked so long as you are home, good if you are single or you are super trusting with your significant other. You have to enable this if you want it.+I am on ATT post paid and get full LTE excellent speed and service, no issues considering this is a Global phone and not specifically a north american one.+80% screen to body ratio and really the only bezel is the chin at bottom which houses sensors, notification LED and selfie cam. I think id prefer this over an all screen phone and certainly over a notch. Its nice to have somewhere to rest your thumb and not block the screen.+UFS 2.1 storage, i transfer a lot to and from my phone like music and videos, this transfers really quick much much better than my old Motorola.I cant speak to the camera as i don't use my cellphone camera much and i hope you can find more information elsewhere! Front camera is in the bottom chin so selfies would require you to flip the phone upside down- this or a notch- id prefer this, YMMV.In conclusion, research the phone, if you like the specs, price point and everything buy it. This is the best phone ive had in a real long time. I'd probably say this is a $600 phone (due to brand if not it'd be more) and it is currently around the $400 mark, totally worth it. I was cross shopping this phone with a moto g6 which is $100 cheaper which is big in this price category but this absolutely trounced it on features and specs and im glad i chose it.

Phone has great battery life and battery management
Bluetooth and SIM card issues // I was originally going to return it was bluetooth wasn't working in my car. I tried it in another car and it worked. Still figuring out how to fix that as older car bluetooth has lower bandwidth? I was out of cellphone reception in the mountains and the phone's SIM card refused to connect back on the network when I returned until I got home and removed the SIM card and did a reboot and reinsert it. This happened a few days later under similar circumstances. I now carry a little pin to be able to remove the SIM card if it happens again in my wallet. Phone has great battery life and battery management. I actually started to love the user interface even though I was initially put off by it.

Fast, premium hardware, good software, great phone.
I've had this phone as my main phone for about 5 months. I honestly didn't expect to love this phone as much as I do. I've had a lot of cheaper Android phones, and there are always a few issues that make them a pain to use, but I've had almost no issues with this phone. One issue I had was fixed by the recent software update. The other issue is that the screen is very sensitive and goes right up to the edge, so picking the phone up while the screen is on often results in accidental taps.Pros:- Fast processor and graphics. No lag on any games that I've played so far.- The battery life is fantastic. I'll usually end the day with around 30% left, and I use it pretty heavily throughout the day.- The storage space and memory are generous, which is rare in a cheap Android phone.- The build quality and design are fantastic. It feels like a ~$900 phone. I've gotten a couple compliments at work on how nice it looks.- MIUI (the custom version of Android on this phone) is actually pretty nice. At first I planned to install a custom ROM, but it grew on me. It's got a lot of gimmicky features that turned out to be pretty useful.- It works great with Apple AirPods.- Comes with a case.Cons:- The screen and the glass on the back are fingerprint magnets. More so than other phones I've used.- As mentioned before, picking it up when the screen is on or even holding it above you (like while lying down) result in a lot of accidental taps.- The camera is good not great. It's not bad at all, but it's not as good as the iPhone X or Pixel 2 cameras.Overall:This phone is amazing, especially for the price. The software was a pain point, but the recent upgrade (MIUI 10) has made it actually good. Definitely a great choice for a cheaper Android phone.

I've done the research, this is as good as it gets.
I did a lot of research before I purchased this phone. By research I mean purchasing the wrong phone twice. One thing you must know for your area is what your bands are for your cell phone company. Each cell phone company owns a certain band that is used in a certain area. This phone has a lot of bands. I have T-Mobile and I'm able to use 4g, 3g, voLTE, and every other option available on band 12. I live in the Pacific Northwest. It will be different depending on where you live and each company. The phone is exactly as described. It's just as fast and can do anything that the brand new phones can do for a fraction of the price. The 6 gigabytes of RAM and ROM make it an incredibly fast phone. One of my favorite things is that I can listen to music while having my GPS up in a small window while talking on the phone or responding to an email at the same time. The only problem I've had with this phone is restarting when it's in my pocket because the power button is sensitive. I would highly recommend to anyone with t mobile in my area.

Chin camera, solid battery, beautiful
Worth every penny, just added a pixel launcher and was everything I wanted, the front facing camera is at the bottom but I hardly use it, so no problem for me. Battery is solid and quick charge is blazing fast.

It works great with Verizon 4G network, so I don't have to pay $900 for a Verizon phone!
