I've bought these five previous times from the same seller. Other than the wrappers being a bit fussy, and usually about a dozen that are unwrapped, the quality has been good. However, the last batch was definitely stale. They were a bit soft and sticky, lacking the smooth feel and solid crunch when bitten, and did not have the usually bright and strong peppermint taste. The taste was a bit odd. I love peppermint candy and k ow when it is stale. I thought it was a few, but after 10 or so,I realized that I got a bad batch. It was kind of gross so I threw them in the trash. I gabe a four star because five previous batches were good so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. I will give them second chance, but must admit to being hesitant. They had to know the batch was bad.

I actually love to drop a couple of these into my dark roast morning coffee with a generous splash of French vanilla. The only thing I don't like about these is that some of them are difficult to unwrap. Some come open in 5-6 seconds, while sometimes it takes 45 seconds... weird, huh? (Weird that I time myself too... I know, my wife tells me...lol). UPDATE ON REVIEW: My previous order was great- they slid right out of the wrapper and the candies are good. My current order- sticking to the wrapper (AGAIN) and some are incredibly hard to remove. They really need some quality control at the factory. I imagine they must be still wet and or hot when they get wrapped, which is why they stick inside the wrapper. One more chance... hope it's better... if not, this will be my final purchase. Update to the update... SO FRUSTRATING!! The candies stick to the wrapper.... takes forever trying to get them out. I'm downgrading my review from was oringinally a 5, then a 3, now a one. On hopes someone from this company actually reads this and takes action to fix it.
