Crimping Tool For Ignition Cable and Spark Plug Connectors - Ratcheting Wire Crimpers - Max Diameter 8.5mm

It does a surprisingly decent job on “u” type crimp pins (not barrel crimp). I tested it on several different types of pins in my shop and found the crumpet to be satisfactory for field service of these types of pins. While not as perfect as the genuine crimping tool which can cost upwards of $400, the tool provides a reliable crimp and insulation crimp as well. I recommend putting some high pressure grease on the ratchet section to extend the life of it. (The ratchet guarantees full cycle of the tool for a reliable connection. This typically is the first part that wears out if this tool is used for production use)

We shall se how long it lasts forHowever out of the box I could crimp ferrules from 2awg down to 12awg.They come out pretty nice looking and tightI know it’s not made for this but I actually crimped two 6awg copper ring terminals to wire with it and it worked fine. Had to do it twice one time on each side of the terminal but was left with a well crimped strong connection.Looked pretty goodIt has a ratchet release if you can’t squeeze it open again. Has to crimp all the way to open again.But has a release.Not sure if you could put varied die on it but for $19 I’m set for nowBig goes down to 2awg!!!

I needed to join some ground wires to fit in a single slot in my car's aftermarket distribution block. Simply twisting the wires together wasn't doing the trick, and just looked sloppy anyway, so I bought some ferrules and this crimping tool to handle the job. It did require me to turn the ferrule over a couple of times after each crimp to get a nice square crimp, but it's much better than spending a few hundred bucks on the next best thing. I'm totally happy with the purchase and it's good to know that I can now do a much nicer job of securing any future wiring jobs.

I only use flag connectors occasionally so this is a good tool for that. The connectors fit the tool just fine and it crimps just fine. The ratchet mechanism works as it should.My only complaint is that the handles are a bit short and fat. I can not seem to get one of my medium sized hands around the base of handles to get it started. I need 2 hands to get it clicking and then I can finish the crimp with one hand. If you use this every day it will frustrate you. Go buy a professional tool if that is the case.I am an occasional user, the tool was inexpensive so this is fine for me. I give it 5 stars for value.

Really works well and does not break the insulation sleeve as other crimpers did.

I have a pair of klein crimpers that I paid twice as much for, but they were for crimping butt connectors, and these feel identical to them quality wise. It's surprising they are priced so reasonably. I am very happy I found them to clean up my amp wires with ferrules

I don’t know why I ever wasted my time using the crimping part of my wire strippers. For years I legitimately struggled with it and a couple bucks later it’s a 180 turn, so simple to crimp now.I use it for automotive wiring and it’s so helpful. The connections are so solid because it puts the perfect amount of pressure on it.Quality is good, value for money as well. Trust me, you won’t regret getting one, you’ll want to go back in time and give it to yourself a few years ago.

Seriously, it works very well, can't believe I use to try and crimp these terminals with needle nose pliers and solder them. Now, load the terminal in the crimp tool, insert stripped wire, crimp, done. In the process of rewiring speakers, every crimp was perfect, haven't had to redo one yet.

Easy to use and does a good job

I had ordered some heat shrink connectors not realizing that my old cheap crimp pliers were not the correct ones. I thought that these pliers had a good price. When I got it I felt that they were very well constructed. They do a really good job of crimping connectors. Happy with purchase.
