Casserole Dish Falcon Enamel Oval Roaster Oven Roasting Tray Tin + Lid

This is great for small roasts or meals for two. It can go in the dishwasher and the lid fits inside the base for storage - brilliant! I've tried non stick ones and the non stick just comes off. I've tried stainless steel, but everything sticks to it, so enamel seemed a good option.The basting effect works well. Apparently the moisture collects on the dimple points inside the lid and drips back down onto the food. This prevents the food drying out and you don't need to baste so often. Simple but effective.I find the oval shape is better than round as you don't need such a big container - most roasts and fish are long, not round! So unless you need a round one because you always surround your roast with veg, an oval one saves cupboard space.

Great dish but wished it was bigger

Initially very pleased as it sits perfectly in my halogen oven.However today 3rd time I have used it to roast a chicken have noticed a chunk has crumbled off from around the blue rim on the base.I have been very careful using it,and storing it with foam dividers to save it clanking together.so can’t understand why this has happened!Very disappointed

No I thought it was the family size so really not good value

if you are thinking of purchasing check cm size is for you it would have to be very small chicken to fit it, when it arrived although in a sturdy cardboard box it had chunks of enamel gouged out of lid,
