Vacuum sealer jar sealers
Works as it should. I was Leary of just wasting money as I'd always heard the small jar sealer didn't work , but chose to try this one and at first thought it won't fit/work , non of hoses were any good to me , My machine has the cord right in machine , u pull it out to use and retract it back in place , however found it works perfect, just put into the whole and turn on . Regular and wide mouth jars seal every time provided the cap u place on jar has no damage which makes it leak air Very happy that I tried it , no more having to buy wide mouth jars as I had already had wide mouth sealer I used for yrs , strongly recommend this !

great value and it works!
Works great! I was interested in another Mason Jar Sealer that only goes over the lid, no separate vacuum sealing machine but it had horrible reviews, so I started looking at other options. This little kit came packaged really nicely with extra fittings for the hose to ensure compatibility with the machine. This kit came with 2 lid sizes (regular and wide-mouth), the lid cover has very malleable and soft rubberized edge to ensure a good seal. It takes a couple of minutes for the air to be vacuumed out, but the lid is really on the jar. This kit comes with 2 hoses (1 short, 1 long), 2 lid covers, several different hose fittings, and an opener for a vacuumed lid. The packaging was really perfect and I'm continuing to use the box it came in to store this kit with my sealer machine. This item was just under $10, so a good value. This was very easy to use, the main thing to remember is to remove the suction hose first, then remove the lid cover. Easy peasy. I would recommend this product.

Great for bulk vacuum sealing
My wife and I don't like storing food in plastic, so we use mason jars as an economical way to store food. I bought one of those battery powered mason Jar Sealers for like $20. When it arrived, I charged it and sealed every Masson jar in our pantry. It was very satisfying, but it took forever! We have a food saver vacuum sealer, and I thought, "there must be an attachment for Masson jars", and that's how I found this product. I still use the battery powered one daily for my coffee beans, and maybe weekly for our flour after I make bread, but when ever I have to do many jars at once, out comes the food saver and this attachment (small and large mouth, each with it's own hose and food saver connector). It's so much faster and it stops when the adequate vacuum pressure has been reached. I'm not sure about all battery powered Masson jar sealers, but our's does not shut off based on pressure, it just times out after 90 seconds. The directions for the battery powered one say to leave it on for at least 40 seconds. I've kind of developed an ear for how hard the pump is working to determine when to shut it off and it is usually around 40sec or more. That's if i'm paying attention. Usually it goes the full 90 seconds. As you can see in the video, the food saver does a half full, quart sized jar in under 10 seconds. If I could do it again, I'd still buy both. I'm out about $30 since I already had a food saver. They each have their place. My food saver doesn't live on the countertop, so to take it out of a cabinet, plug it in, hook up this accessory, and then put it all away for one jar, would take much more time than the battery powered unit. The battery powered one lives next to the coffee beans. My only complaint about this attachment is that one of the hoses was permanently kinked, but I'm not sure if it had any ill effect. It was about an inch in from the end, so I just cut it off. If you only have a few mason jars, I'd just get a battery powered one. If you meal prep, buy dry goods in bulk, make your own baby food, etc, I'd get the food saver attachment. If you don't already have a food saver and money is a concern, get the battery powered one at the cost of time. You might be able to pick up a food saver at the thrift store if only for this Masson jar accessory, but if you buy meat in bulk, a new food saver will pay for itself. They go on sale at Costco and probably on Amazon too. Good luck and happy vacuum sealing!
