Bought for a bit of fun well made good selection of tools n locks

Bought this for something to play with whilst I was poorly and it's a good bit of fun. The included clear padlocks are a great way to learn, if a little easy compared to some spare padlocks I had lying around.For the price the tools are decent quality and relatively sturdy. The "credit card concealed tools" are less sturdy and the plastic "credit card" is horrendous, but it's just a gimmick cause the only people who should be taking picks out of their houses are pros who aren't going to be buying this kit.

The set is well presented, unfortunately the quality of the actual keys isn't great and require wiggling to even open the locks, the internals of the locks seem fine, so it's probably the keys.The picks aren't the "upgraded" set shown in the manual. They are poorly finished red plastic, they will cause pain down the line with the ridges unless you sand or wrap the handles.Some of the picks are far too thick for any of the locks included, either they won't fit in the hole or they can't move past the first pin as they are too big.The manual itself is very basic, no indication of where to download the pdf versions.Overall I would spend about the same for a better quality set of picks. I doubt these will last long, the quality is on par with the "card" set, which are regularly given with sets as gifts, indicative of the quality.The main plus of this set is the locks if your starting out so you can see what's happening and getting the feel for it before covering it with tape, just don't rely on the keys.

I apologise for giving this 3* when it is worth more. The locks and kit are fantastic (credit card picks box is poor quality) and this is a great set for lock picking.Reason for only giving 3* rather than higher is the instruction manual. It only covers the basic padlock and nothing else, which is beyond frustrating as I don't know what I am doing with the other tools and more complex locks.

Well worth the buy just for the practice locks. Overall great bit of kit.
