The laptop Design and Guarantee
Very bad laptop graphics card says 3.8 and it’s 2.8. No Guarantee liars, you have to contact Dell, and Dell will not help. disk C very small and disk D very big, and when you download softwares it goes to Disk C you can’t move the softwares to disk D . so bad design, you can't download softwares ! Lose your money

Good but buy the 256GB SSD Version
Love it. But don't get the 128GB SSD version. I use mine for programming so I've got Visual Studio installed. I also do a lot of work with photos and video so have Adobe Creative Cloud. There simply isn't enough room to install either of these on the C drive so you have to be smart and install on the D drive which sort of defeats the whole point. If you do install on the C drive you will run out of space very quickly. Putting aside the SSD restrictions I love the machine. Works great, although I installed from fresh because I don't like factory images with all their bloatware, and to get around the above problems. The battery lasts hours, 5 or 6 hours f use is not unknown. It's not too heavy which is good and the keyboard is nice.

Several issues
I got this laptop in August and returned it a few weeks later after initially writing a very good review. That review has now been removed and so I am writing this up again. The keyboard was faulty (it wasn't very good to begin with since you would have to press pretty hard to get a response at times) so I returned it. But there were other issues that led me to returning it as well. The HDMI cable did not work with my AOC monitor. I would imagine this is because I did not have the drivers for the monitor installed. However you would at least expect a laptop of this price to automatically detect modern monitors, and as the monitor I had from AOC was fairly new I don't think I can excuse that, especially since other laptops instantly recognise the monitor. The audio had many issues. I spent a few days researching why a crackling noise would come up and it turns out the WiFi was causing interference. If I turned the WiFi off this issue would go away. Updating drivers several times, and this issue only fixed temporarily at best. Note this issue occurred whether or not the laptop was plugged in or not, so it certainly wasn't to do with power. It is an issue with Realtek Audio Drivers and it is pretty common on these laptops from the several forums I have read. Another issue was with how certain things were appearing blurry on windows, such as installers and windows applications which would otherwise work perfectly fine. Something to do with modifying the DPI scaling in windows 10 solved this but it is a pretty bandaid fix which doesn't really resolve the actual issue. It is a very loud unit but again, it is a gaming laptop so not much to expect there. However the heating was inexcusable, you can fry an egg on that temperature, and upon checking, it reached 80 celcius very quickly when playing Rust on MEDIUM settings. I would imagine my cooling unit was faulty since that is abnormal for a game not even running on maximum settings and the CPU usage was hardly reaching high usage. The information on the warranty was very shady, only lasting until May of 2019 (15 month warranty starting February 2018 despite me purchasing this in August). Again, all/most of these issues are a result of me being unlucky enough to receive a unit with several faulty components. I would say if you are planning on getting this laptop, get it with a 1060 or better because I would say the graphic issues come down to 1050s being an issue on most of the laptops out right now on the market. Now with all this being said, there was one great thing about this, and that was the display. While it is only 60Hz, I found the viewing angles to be fantastic as well as the colour accuracy despite what other reviews say. It is likely the other people buying this laptop got a slightly older version of the same laptop with a TN panel rather than the IPS display it is advertised with now. The games themselves actually performed very well at the expense of heating up the unit and a high pitched noise coming out. The design was very good as well, it didn't look as tacky with the red and black gamer look as some of the others out there but it is a shame that it has many minor irritations that led me to returning it. I would give this more stars as Amazon customer service was very very helpful in returning this unit but this review is based on the product alone and nothing else. I hope this review helped and as I have said before, try purchasing the higher specs for this model if you do plan on getting it, otherwise look elsewhere.

A (mostly) great laptop
I good, and powerful laptop. I'm happy with it but agree with the other comments about the screen. It's just not bright enough. Also (nothing to do with the laptop itself) I had a lot of problems with delivery, with 4 different re-arranged deliveries being missed.
