These are awesome. Our cats know how to open the screen door, so we needed something to keep the door shut. And these work wonders. They are a little difficult to clip and unclip. So if you have any kind of mobility issues in your hands, you should pass on these.

The day I knew was coming but it was still too soon.My 5 yr old nana daughter got on a stool and said "Nana look how tall I've grown. I can open the door." Then says to her abuelo (grandfather) after relocking the door "call me when u want to come in" then left.THANK GOD I ORDERED THESE EARLIER. I was able to switch it out very easily and quickly.

I wanted to be sure little ones couldn't open the doors in my home and march themselves up and down the stairs! This solves that problem. I wish one was in a different direction, as I've got one door the orientation one would expect, and the other is upside down. But that's fine, as the doors stay shut when needed. You definitely need two hands to work the latch.

I received (paid for) 2 hooks. I received a hook that was broken in half plus a whole hook. I needed it NOW as I have an overly smart cat which has figured out how to unlatch a normal hook, so, i kept it...but very disappointed in receiving half a hook for the other.

I don't know why you would need a safety latch; I bought these by mistake. But the safety mechanism is extremely hard to use! I almost broke a nail before I gave up and ripped it off.

Used on french door to keep curious horse from unlocking the door and getting shut in or out of barn.Problem solved! She can't get these open.
