i needed to fit it to an old door so i had to mess about abit , but fitting to a modern door should be no problem

Be Warned
My garage door is a Henderson up and over, we have lived in our house for over 16 years and have never had a key to access the garage from the outside, only internally from the hallway so not being one to let the grass grow under my feet I decided to get a new lock/handle, this one seemed a decent choice so with much aplomb I dismantled the old one and despite not having an assistant I began to fit the new one.The holes lined up perfectly so I pushed the handle firmly into place, i applied a little too much pressure and the door closed. it was at this point that I realised that having accessed the garage from inside the house, and having not unlocked either the front or back door I was locked out. It was a cold day and I was wearing only a thin jumper and slippers, never mind I would simply call my wife and she would gleefully pop out from work and let me in. slight problem my mobile was in the garage.I eventually got back inside 2 hours later.Later that evening with the help from a smirking spouse, i fitted the lock in under five minutes, having only needing to cut a few mill off the bolts.The handle works well and I am very pleased with it, time will tell how long it will last but its not going to get daily use so overall well pleased.

Works ok but wish I’d spent a little more for a more quality item.
I bought this item to replace an existing garage door lock. The item isn’t bad but doesn’t feel overly well built and fitting takes some time as the spindle and both bolts required cutting down to size to fit the door. Also the cover for the key hole on mine seems very flimsy and gets stuck regularly when trying to put the key in the hole.
