It’s the size that I wanted and the base is a wouldn’t base or bamboo base. My husband managed to break every glass base butter keeper I’ve purchased in the past. Butter gets pretty cold and hard in the refrigerator, so the knife doesn’t cut the butter easily, and my husband doesn’t know his own strength.

My partner and I got tired of leaving butter in the box and having to dig it out of there, so I decided to purchase this one because of the size. The butter we get from costco perfectly, with a bit more space. The knife isn't big enough/strong enough to cut it, but it's a nice addition.I highly recommend hand washing and drying immediately after, especially to preserve the wood.Mine came with some knicks in it, which is why I'm only rating it four stars. I would recommend this, though!

Whether you enjoy your butter cold or warm, this item works great in either temperature. It will safely keep your butter or margarine in great condition and away from the open air, bugs, or contaminants. The bamboo bottom is perfect for this, since it can easily be wiped clean or given a light wash with vinegar and baking soda for a deep clean. The glass top is lightweight and sturdy and doesn't wobble around, so you can be sure to avoid accidents from accidental slippage. I love the fact that you can easily swap between warm and cold since this is durable enough to go into the fridge without getting brittle or weakening the glass or bamboo. The knife that comes with it is comfortable to use and a lovely design as well!

Good materials. Fits a butter stick. 🤣 Although the knife doesn’t really fit in there with the butter too well without making a mess. So I guess I wish it had somewhere to go. Otherwise it does what a butter dish should.
