The Gingerbread Man (Keepsake Stories)

Got this book as a Christmas present for my students. They loved reading it in class.

So many of the fairy tales we knew from childhood have been rewritten to be more "correct" like Billy goat gruff that I ordered. This one thankfully is right on! It is the original story I remember I loved as a child. It arrived quickly, will go nicely with the gingerbread dolls I made for my grandsons.

Our daughter enjoyed sitting on our lap and listening to The Gingerbread Man. Soon she knew the story and would say "You can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread", along with us. She would motion with her arms and pretend to be running. It was her favorite children's book and ours too because she liked it so much. She is nearly forty five and has two granddaughters. We wanted to give them the book so their Mom could read it to them just as it was to their Grandmother. Whenever I saw a Golden Book Display always tried to find it. Thought it may be out of print until I looked at Amazon.com.

The problem is not the importance of trust but that the gingerbread man trusted the fox too much - to his downfall! My twin grandchildren were saddened by this story!

It's a great read aloud for kids/students during the holiday season

I bought this book as a Christmas gift for my students last December. This version of the story is great and the illustrations were nice. This would make a great Christmas gift and would go well with other Gingerbread theme items.

Love this book from my childhood, one of the first books I bought for my daughter when I found out I was pregnant.

Tolles Buch! Und auch den Kindern meiner Klasse hat die Story vom Gingerbread Man gefallen, u.a. auch wegen der tollen Bilder im Buch. Würde es auf jeden Fall wieder in meinem Unterricht integrieren

My son loves this every week he seems to be reading a new book in class so i speak to teacher and see what it is he loves the classic books like these

クリスマス近くなってきた事だし 買ってみようかなぁと思った本。 表紙はまだまともですが、絵本に出てくる動物キャラの色つかいといい 可愛くないです。 何だか不気味に思ってしまいました。 殆んど読まずにリサイクルショップへ。 安かったのが救いです。
