Q: The description says "polished nickel" but the manufacturer calls it brushed nickel. Is this shinny like chrome or dull like a normal brushed finish?

It has a light brushed finish to it with a little bit of shine, it is definitely not polished.

Q: the dimension from top to bottom of the device is 4.7"?

I have this device installed in a 1 1/2" thick granite counter top. When it is extended it sticks up 1 3/4" above the counter top. I am unable to measure the device from top to bottom. I have approx 3" sticking out below my counter top.

Q: Will this outlet power a stand mixer or coffee maker?

Absolutely! We have two in our kitchen island, both on the same circuit and has run a stand mixer and griddle at the same time. We love these.

Q: Is this assembly UL listed?

cULus Listed to UL498, Section 145 Mechanical Load Test,146 Spill Test According to their description they are UL listed.
