NVMe M2/M.2 Tool-Free SSD Enclosure Case with USB 3.2, 10Gbps & PCI-E NVMe Reader, USB-C, Supports M & B&M Keys, 2230/2242/2260/2280 SSDs, Realtek RTL9210 Chipset

I bought this enclosure to house my sample drives for music production. The current setup has two 2TB M2 PCIe Gen 4 drives in JBOD configuration. The installation was quite straightforward with no tools. The enclosure is connected to a USB 3.2 Gen2 2x2 port to an Asus NUC 15. As shown in the pictures, initial speed measurements showed ~1800MBs, as expected for the connection type. I also tested it connecting to the TB4 port with comparable results. The enclosure has a fan, but according to support, it only comes up over 63 degrees. In my usual run, even after extended copy operations, maximum temperatures on both drives only came up to about 65. Though in normal run it runs quite hot, expected from two high power m2 drives. There was an initial issue of occasional disconnection of the drive. After trying different aux power options, connecting to a 30W PD source seem to resolve this issue. I will definitely recommend using adequate aux power when housing high power m2 drives. The best part of the purchase was the excellent customer support. I reached out for a resolution for the disconnection issue. A very knowledgeable engineer stayed with me on WhatsApp diagnosing and resolving the issue while providing valuable insights and suggestions on configuration and setup. The packaging is excellent; the enclosure comes in a cute semi hard case that looks elegant. The appearance and quality of build is good. Overall, it looks like a well-made product. A definite buy at this price range.

Got a phone holder too. World great. Simple to use. Pretty slim to carry anywhere. Getting full speed of ssd (the one I'm using maxed out at 300 MB/s. Easy to connect - instructions provided in packing . Easy to use just plug usb and it works out of the box. And it's cheaper then other brands, made out of aluminium - great value for money.

This SSD enclosure is a very solid enclosure. I am currently using it for my 256 GB EVM M.2 SATA SSD to store videos and it also has wuthering waves installed on it (which is a fairly heavy game , about 80 gigs in size). Haven't had any major issues in my 1 week of heavy usage. Here are my findings : Pros - 1) Build - Compact Aluminium build offers way better heat dissipation for the SSD when you use it with the provided thermal pad , I have not yet experienced any heating. 2) Connectivity - I am getting decent 450-500 mbps for my 550 Mbps rated SSD so no issue there. 3) Design - It feels sturdy and compact in hand and with the metal finish it looks pretty decent. The thermal pad and cable provided are also of decent quality. 4) Value for Money - It is very well worth the price and you should go for it if you're looking for a SATA M.2 Enclosure. 5) Setup - Extremely easy to setup as you don't need any sort of screwdriver to open it or slot in the SSD. Just be careful when sliding in the case after applying the thermal pad as it's supposed to be very tightly attached with the SSD. Cons - 1) Finishing - Product has some finishing issues towards the plastic parts and the edges as I can see some tiny gaps from where dust can potentially enter. Cleaning periodically might be a good option but you will probably risk damaging the thermal pad in the process as it's very tightly held. 2) Cable - Since it's a 3.2 Gen 2 cable , I understand that it has to be short to prevent data loss and speed loss , however I would've liked if the cable was braided.

The enclosure delivers promised speeds of upto 10Gbps, I am using it with a WD Nvme Gen4 SSD and am getting around 950 MBps read & write. The build material and finishing of the enclosure is top notch as it is fully made up of alumninium and feels premium, truly value for money at this price point. We must use the thermal pad provided with the enclosure, it works fine in transferring the heat from SSD to the enclosure body which is made up of aluminium, the enclosure does get warm when SSD is in use. We get everything we need with the Enclosure in the travel pouch. Team PiBox really have put in efforts for their products!

This product from piBox is awesome. I have purchased many items from this brand so far, and I can vouch for them, they have grown up to be the best ever Electronics brand is what I think The build quality, the cable, everything is perfect about this product. The connectivity was simple. I just had to plug in my SSD and plug it to my PC and everything started working flawlessly. After an extensive use, I could see the heat being dissipated through the passive cold system. Because of which at least I didn’t notice any performance throttling. Along with this product, I got a pouch for it and a free mobile stand. They are finish too is up to the mark I got this product for around ₹1020

Good product. Quality was way better at this price. Easy installation. Compact in size. Connectivity was universal. Weight was bit high. Transfer speed good. Normal heat when in use.

NVME Works fine but only has slot for 1 NVME as far as I know. I thought it supported 2 NVME ssd but the one I installed worked way faster than my HDD hard drive. Good product but need more transparency in Marketing

It took a bit for me to get the hang of the PiBox. I bought it to use in an attempt to recover files from the SSD on my laptop which had crashed. I finally accessed it, and found that while Disk Management (PC - Windows) showed the drive, it was inaccessible. I downloaded a free limited use scanner tool, which did find files and recovered them, but they were corrupted beyond use. I did buy a Samsung SSD to use with it (at least until I try to re-format the old SSD), which again took me a bit to get connected. The heat mat pulled the connections loose when I slid the box back together. The plug to hold the SSD in place did not hold. It was VERY TIGHT when closing with heat mat in place but it seems to be controlling heat well. The transfer speeds have been good on the few files I have moved around. The options of USB C and USB 2 cords is very nice. I do wish there were extra plugs included. I lost the included one pretty quickly. The company does not ship directly to the US. I'll keep looking elsewhere. The free stand which was included is interesting. The attached photo and screen shot were taken at same time.

I don't know if Its just my unit but it failed every time used. I won't use it. I did not give the company a chance to fix or explain - I bought expensive Samsung that I've never had problems with You never know what notes are important - not worth risking anything vital - I would not use it to transfer files even Not sure of driver software - not sure if it will be supported - just thinking about it makes me worry If I lived in country it was made I might feel better about a product like this - if it worked I actually bought it because I liked the name - different meaning in the country it was manufactured The M2 you have - this devices software/driver - might not be compatible - Not just the type of M2 Use this product if you have old M2's & using for information non critical or even close to it I am so tired of products not made close to my proximity - able to keep them in service It's just not worth the time to problem solve - they should have have covered it before selling Disgruntled Digitize'r

My PC found the device immediately. Nice case. Clear instructions included. All good but, the USB cables could be longer and the stand is kind of cheap but hey. Good value.
