Great for etching steel.
I love this little voltage converter. I use it with an old laptop power brick and use this as an adjustable power supply for my little projects. It works great for etching steel with salt water and a cotton swab. I use it to put my makers mark on knives that I make. I also use it for testing little electronics projects. It’s a bit fiddly to adjust because you need a tiny screw driver, but it works great. It’s been very reliable over the years I’ve had it.

DROK DC Buck Converter, 5.3V-32V to 1.2V-32V 12A Adjustable
Converting AC Led Strip to DC. Removed AC/DC 90v LED converter. Wired LED strips in parallel for 36v Amperage ran past 5 Amps. This was too much voltage and amperage for my Solar Carport Batteries at 11-14.5v. Purchased this Buck converter to regulate my voltage and current from the battery. Adjusted the Output to 12v. Then connected my DC-DC High Voltage Boost Converter 8V-32V to ±45V-390V and adjusted the output to near lowest output of 44.4v. Then adjusted the Dork Buck to 1.15 amps. Keeping a constant 12v 1a draw regardless of the Battery input from 10-15vdc at any high amperage. Works great on both of my carports and work shed.

Great unit with some items to be aware.
Nice unit it provides a wide voltage range of output. Easy to set up an use. Nice touch with the adjustment buttons and plexiglass shields. What could use improvement, would be nice to have paper instruction or a link to instructions, the voltage display, it is a bit off when measured by 2 calibrated DVM's but it is in the right range. The other area for improvement is the ripple/switching noise is high at 500mv pk-pk for my application at 1.5vdc. Depending on your application this may be acceptable. I didn't check if this is consistent through the output voltage range. I plan on putting some type of filtering on the output to bring it down. Other items, great size, lots of functionality for the price point.

Does what I want
I bought this converter to use for zinc plating with a 12v car battery. Works well. Easy to adjust.

Great buck converter , solid , high current support
Great buck converter . Remember , it’s not a step up . Only step down . So be cautious and don’t be confused by the description. . It can handle high current .

Really awesome and useful product!
I had a usbc port come unattached from the pcb on a device I use daily. I tried with no success to replace the usbc port so I looked for an alternative way to keep the 2 18650 batteries in the device charged. This product worked out better than I expected! It keeps the batteries charged up perfectly. It let me set the output voltage to 8.3v and let me set a maximum amperage of 4 amps, when I am using the device plugged in it will draw up to the 4 amps, with the device off it will only draw <1amp to charge up the batteries back to full. I thought this was more of a straight always 8.3, full current kind of thing but it is actually designed so that it can maintain batteries as well, really cool! I highly recommend this product. Been using it over a year and it’s held up very well! I don’t use it at full current but at 4 amps it doesn’t get hot at all.

Disappointing as hell
I got this one with the wrong impression it'd output up to ~30v. They make it look like it can provide anywhere between 5 and 32, from any voltage between 5 and 30 as well. I was trying to make a bench power supply. So I got a very good 12v 20a power supply to connect it to this unit thinking "Ok, it can range from 5 to 30v at least." Hell no, when I tried to crank it to 14v, it just wouldn't. For a second I thought I had messed with it somehow. I was going crazy trying to figure out what it was. I had to read all the description more carefully. Well, it turns out it says, somewhere it says very casually that the input needs to be more than the output! THIS IS JUST A GLORIFIED STEP DOWN. That's useless for me as I need to power things ranging from 5v to 28v. If this thing is just a step down, IT SHOULD SAY SO! This is so misleading. I'm not an electric engineer. If I was, I'd probably would've known stepping down and up is probably not possible with the same device. I learned it the hard day... if this was only a bit more honest and call it it in the description, instead of casually saying in parenthesis "oh by they ways, it needs more power than the expected output. It should say: STEP DOWN BUCKLE WITH SCREEN. Now my whole setup is ruined. I'm just going to try to return it and buy a Bench Power Supplies. How disappointing.

Best bucket converter.
After burning up a few other coverters for a project using 20v tool batteries this is first one that give me the voltage control that handles the current too. The instructions are clear and the part seems very well built. Well worth the cost. I would give it 4.5 stars though as the tape that comes with the heatsink is bad. That tape is thermal insulating the direct opposite of what its supposed to do so please remove the tape and replace with a thermal conductive tape. Also to those reviews saying they got a wood case instead of acrylic, you need to remove the protective film before assembly...

Doesn't work
Worked for about 30 mins. then just quit while being adjusted. Trouble shooting mentioned resetting breaker but couldn't find any breaker. Not happy. Also, no assembly instructions in box but pretty simple. Would not recommend.

Junk
This was the second one I bought because the first one didn't work.. I'm pretty sure I was sent a pre assembled broken convertor. With no instructions. I think it was the broken one I previously returned
