I have been very happy with this ice maker since buying it 4 months ago. After a lifetime of having an ice maker in the freezer, it took a bit of mental gymnastics to understand that this isn't a freezer and it isn't going to hold ice at-the-ready, day in and day out.So once a week, I plug it in and make ice. I let it run most of the day and as the ice basket fills, I bag the ice and throw it in the freezer. It's not like I have to babysit it, I check in it two or three times over the course of the afternoon. When bagging the ice, the ice pellets are still wet, so they freeze together, but taking the bag out of the freezer later and slamming it on the counter or beating it with a heavy-duty spoon can be fun and even cathartic, and only takes a moment.Now, I always have plenty of ice, it never gets smelly like the ice from my in-freezer ice maker, and it's such wonderful pellet ice. I'm truly very happy with this purchase.

I bought this unit back in June of 2022. It made wonderful nugget ice, but was a bit loud, so I requested a replacement, but when it arrived, it had some "damage" or perhaps just poor quality control, because it had some dents and protruding deformations in the stainless steel that were unsightly, so I decided to send it back and keep the 1st one I received. We tolerated the noise. It worked fine, as far as making ice is concerned. Come January 2023, all of the sudden it started making a screeching noise and stopped making ice. I contacted customer service and was told to unplug it for several hours and run the 'CLEAN' function multiple times, which I did. Afterwards, it made about 10 individual nuggets and stopped working again. I repeated the process a couple more times to no avail. Customer service will not honor their 2 year warranty. They are making false claims about the transaction and are telling me that I received a refund for the until which I didn't. I am still paying almost $40 a month for it and will continue to pay until June 2023. They also told me that they didn't receive the unit that I sent back, or so that's what I assume they're saying, because they told me that they are out 2 units and also issued a refund, which again, they did not. After I sent them screenshots of my order history and payment history to Affirm, they are no longer responding to my messages. Stay FAR AWAY from this ice maker and company.UPDATE!I called Amazon customer service and after explaining everything to them and how I just want/need a replacement, they said that since the unit had already been "replaced" they couldn't replace it again. I explained to them over and over about how I didn't accept the replacement, it was damaged, so I returned it and kept the 1st unit I received and even if I had accepted the replacement. What about the 2 year warranty? To make this already long and frustrating story shorter, Amazon finally did the right thing and refunded my money. However, at the time of writing this update, no refund has been processed. I just hope that it goes smoothly from here on out. Now I'm off to research OTHER brands of pellet ice makers.

We've been through 2 bullet style icemakers that were around a $100, but they both stopped working right about the time the warranty was up. I really wanted a sonic style ice maker, but couldn't afford the ones that were in the $500 and up range. Then I came across this one.....hallelujah! Yes it is a bit loud (as some reviews warned), but it's not horrible. My other ones sounded like Casper the ghost was in the other room, making whirly noises. This one doesn't scare me. :) The ice produces quickly, and it's easy to use (fill ours manually), plus the ice is perfect for drinks! Another bonus is the ice tray holds more ice than my previous makers, so we have ice readily available which is great too. I've already recommend this to several friends, so will give it a full five star recommendation!

The media could not be loaded.  We purchased the Wamife ice maker in July of 2022. It worked great until about 2 months ago. The machine screeches and there is little to no ice production now. There is really no use to run it at all now because it has become unusable. Remember, this product isn’t even a year old yet. I would think that a nugget ice maker that cost $420 would last longer than 9-10 months. And I have messaged Wamife multiple times thru Amazon messages. I have gotten no response to my concerns. And the Wamife ice maker has a 2 year warranty. The company states they stand behind their product. I am yet to see that. The ice maker started out good but absolutely useless 11 months later.

UPDATE TO UPDATE: So several months after receiving the replacement we have small metal pieces under the basket. I emailed the warranty several times and I have not received a response!! Through Amazon I was told we are passed the warranty! Terrible customer service, product is a waste of money!! VERY disappointed.UPDATE: Finally got in touch with company and they promptly sent a replacement. I am hoping I do not have the same issue!We got this ice maker about mid June 2022. It worked fabulous and we were enjoying it! Then in mid October things changed.When the cleaning button was first used it was loud but not too bad. It then would start the cleaning cycle on its own when we didn’t turn that button on. I cleaned it myself, manually, and left it unplugged for awhile to see if that would help, but alas It didn’t.When the self cleaning function would kick in, the noise sounded like grinding and the sound got louder and louder until it wouldn't work. The add water light would stay on even when it was full of water. We could not get it past that point. It never worked again.I reached out to the company to let them know what was going on. We heard nothing! With a price tag over $300, I thought it would last longer and thought the company would stand behind their product!!! Truly a disappointment!
