Great Stuff!
This album is amazing. There are very few albums that start as good as Juturna. It really doesn't slow down til way later. The only song that I'm not a fan of is the last- Meet Me in the Montauk. Besides that everything else rocks! The song structures and dual guitars are great. I especially like the guitar on Act Appalled. There isn't any guitar solos on this album, just cool creative guitar work throughout. The lyrics are interesting. Such as "Your face is light and cocaine white" which is used in 2 songs. Tight drumming on Stop the Car. Green's voice is top notch even though it can take awhile to get used to it. It's high pitched (not 100% of the time) but never whiny like alot of post hardcore/emo singers. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes post hardcore or alternative rock. This is Circa's best behind On Letting Go.Favorites:Holding Someone's Hair Back, Act Appalled, In Fear and Faith, Stop the Car

Great Music!
Really great CD and shipped very quickly! I have a CD player in my car and this is my go to CD when I want to pop something in and drive around. I hadn't known much about Circa Survive, but a friend recommended them and I have grown to really love them! I highly recommend!

I've always felt like they were so unique on this record
I've always felt like they were so unique on this record. It's an extremely intriguing album that puts me almost back in time with its vibrant blast of nostalgic melodies and Anthonys voice like god himself lullabying you. This is a must-have for all Circa fans. This is the bands roots in the making. And the artwork is just superb.

The Start Of Something Unique and great
the very first time i heard of circa survive was when me and my older brother were jamming in his car, he had a mixed cd with a bunch of different music. and then this song came on. the great golden baby demo (also known as juturna) a few months pass by and a girl i went to school with introduced me to a band to which i hadnt heard yet (which would later turned out to be circa survive) i eventually found out that song i jammed out was them.... fast forward i bought the cd and gave it a whirl and i was a bit blown away. i thought the cd dragged a bit on the new and improved GGB i thought they shouldve kept it the same. but other than waiting like 8 minutes for house of leaves after the last song, they were what i was hooked on until OLG came out, this is considered a classic to the many fans of circa and (myself included) but i think it was missing something....but other than that i was happy with what i heard on this cd, it was way different that what was out with other bands at the time!!!

Not your average Emo
Upon a first hearing i thought this band could be compared to yourcodenameis:milo, the vocals are similar i thought in places...however this is where similarities end. Im finding it hard to see where any math rock comes into this, for me this is Emo but backed by amazing sonic blasts from guitar and bass, supported by some rhythmic beats from the drummer.Juturna winds and gets inside the head. It is calming and yet has a good edge to it which is far from what many Emo bands are releasing now. In my eyes the use of more effects and a toning down of screaming show that the Emo sound can evolve past what its critics have calimed to be the latest 'fad' in rock/punk. Check it out online at thier sites and then go buy!
