Worth paying a little extra!
Great cake pan! Arrived tightly rolled up so soaked in hot water for a few minutes to restore shape. Greased with butter and I did line the base (probably not necessary but belt and braces!) before filling with standard 6 egg Madeira cake mix. Placed pan on baking tray before filling and baking, no warping/bending/folding of pan sides and cake cooked perfectly. I froze the cake in the pan and turned out while still frozen to avoid breaking the cake; number cakes can be quite fragile, especially if still warm. This pan was great quality and I would have no hesitation in buying this make again, not the cheapest but worth the money. If you have any doubts about the stability of silicone cake pans, you can help them keep their shape by placing the pan inside a roasting tin and filling the area between the silicone pan and sides of roasting tin with scrunched up baking foil.

Exactly what I needed
I have purchased the number 1 from the same brand a while back and it was great. I was looking specifically for this size as I needed to feed 30kids! It’s flexible so be careful when putting it in the oven, I’d recommend having it on the tray first then putting the silicone cake number on that tray then filling up with your batter. You need to oil the sides again to keep the sponge from sticking to the sides. The first I baked it came out on its own but then after the sponge kept getting stuck. Great shape, great size, somewhat easy to use. And cake turned out well. But easy to clean.

love this. Cakes bake beautifully in this, no hassle easy to use and clean. Size is perfect, cakes look perfect. Cant fault it really.

Great quality & sturdiness! Quite difficult to remove the cake after baking.
Sturdiness of the mould is the most important thing when baking in unconventional shapes, and this one is perfect. It is a strong silicone that won’t warp or move when heavy cake mix is inside. The shape is very accurate to the number which is also a bonus. I did have trouble removing the cake from the mould but managed eventually with some persuasion. The thickness is excellent and a cake of this size could easily serve 8 - 10 people.

Such a great mould but we made a rookie mistake…..
Such a great number mould!! This was a last minute purchase as we wanted to make a number two but not actually carve out and make the number ourselves. Tips - Get the mould out of the packaging and make sure it’s had time to sit and reshape if it’s got squashed in transit. Wash first We used a 16inch square cake board ( see picks ) as we did a digger theme and needed extra space. We used some butter/stork and wiped it over the inside so it would help with removal! It worked and literally just popped out. Fill mould up to 3/4 full Cooking takes approx 45mins for a Victoria sponge recipe You will have to remember to flip the cake ( num 2 ) before decorating, we made a rookie mistake as you can see from our picks! It was 11pm and we just didn’t think. Anyway it was easy to turn over and looked fab!! I was very surprised how rigid the sides are! Very easy to clean , just soaked while I was cleaning up and done! Hope this helped!

Great mould for 6th birthday cake
This mould was easy to use and the cake was easy to get out as I greased it well. I did make a mistake and use the recipe which came with the mould but this did not work well for me. I ended up using a normal traybake recipe which worked really well. I would definitely buy one of these moulds again but I will be keeping my number 6 mould until my little one turns 9!

Grandchildren love the Numbers and cake!
My daughter and I have taken turns in buying the individual numbers, for her children/my grandchildren. So far the first six numbers have been perfect! We use the recipe card that comes with each individual cake number as quantity of batter differ depending on the number! Some reviews are saying that they have trouble getting the cake out, but if you leave it to call completely and follow the instructions, the cake comes out perfectly and perfectly moist. I definitely recommend. Next number on our list is number 7!

I would give it a 3,5 star. This is the 2nd cake I’ve made using this mould, using 2 different recipes, and it’s the 2nd time it warped because of the shape. It doesn’t hold the shape of the 1 very well.

Super moule a number cake!!!! Suite a l'anniversaire de mon fils, jai commandé ce moule pour faire un number cake. Le gâteau n'a pas collé et a bien monté !!!! Jai mis le moule dans le lave-vaisselle et jai refais un autre gâteau 🎂 et le moule est toujours aussi efficace , ne colle pas. Je suis fan de ce moule et je recommande fortement

Ich habe mit der Backform einen Rührkuchen zum 1. Geburtstag von unserem Sohn gebacken. Der Kuchen hat sich sehr gut, fast rückstandslos, aus der Form lösen lassen. Bis auf eine Ecke, wo ganz dünn etwas hängen geblieben war, war die Kuchenoberfläche sogar richtig glatt. Wir haben den Kuchen dann noch mit Guss glasiert und mit Fondant dekoriert. Die Menge war etwas weniger, als mein normales Rührkuchenrezept (250g Mehl, 4 Eier, 250g Margarine etc.), d.h. ich habe eine kleine Menge abgenommen für einen 14cm Kindergugelhupf. Der verbleibende Teig war die perfekte Menge. Der Kuchen war von der Höhe genau richtig. Ich musste nichts abscheniden, um ihn vernünftig auf der Kuchenplatte platzieren zu können. Schade, dass wir nur einmal 1. Geburtstag feiern, aber wahrscheinlich benutze ich dir Form demnächst trotzdem weiter, weil sie einfach klasse ist und außerdem ist die 1 auch eine schöne Form für Rührkuchen und im Grunde nicht viel anders, als eine Kastenform.

Flexible, cake flips out easily. Would have been even better if it was a mirrored nr1, so that the eventual top of the cake would be flat already (easier for decorations).
