The Book of Radiance: A Parallel English-Persian Text (Bibliotheca Iranica: Intellectual Traditions Series) (English, Persian and Persian Edition)

Excellent little book presenting some of Suhrawardi's Philosophy of Illumination. It is not an easy reading, and it will be dificult to extract from it tokens of spirituality fitting with modern appetites. However, if one values history and is interested in Islamic existentialism and philosophies of life, this is a fine book to read. Introduction by one of the main scholars in the study of Suhrawardi's legacy, Hosseyn Ziai, helps to position this book with regard to the rest of Suhrawardi's corpus.

I haven't finished it yet but so far it's a lot interesting epistimology, what can be known, how we know it and some unique ideas around that. I'd be interested to read another of his books to get a bigger picture.

This book has nothing to offer.I was looking for More power, this book is full of hard to understand CRAP. Reading this book will leave you feeling like a (Hamster on a wheel)
