Still on first blade after cutting through 14 ca material ( 2 1/2 and 2 1/4 square tubing) as well as 8 5/16 stainless steel all thread segments. I have not compared exact cuts with a fiber wheel but the last time I used the good Dewalt it "devoured" itself in diameter cutting the 14 ga tubing. The Dewalt fiber has less (it seems) cast off metals flecks than the diamond blade.

These blades are useful little dudes! I cut through some quarter inch flat bar pretty quickly for a project of mine without any issues. However I did note that the body of the disk seems to be relatively soft material having accidentally dropped the disk it bent quite drastically (it was attached to my grinder at the time) however the main issue I have with that is that the disks can be bent easily by hand (having bent it back). While I do occasionally work my hand muscles, I don't have any great strength there which causes minor concern for the disks long term use when heated repeatedly with use. That's the only real issue I have found with this disk, so I presume the issue was more mishandling on my part, however I would rather other people take this into account just in case. The other two disks I received have no issues cutting or anything of the like so personally I say go nuts.

Product Reviewed: 3 piece diamond cutoff wheel for $30. TL;DR; Cuts as fast as my generic fibre cutoff blades; 7/8” only; tested on 12 welds with AC grinder I’m reviewing a couple of different versions of these cutoff blades and I’m reasonably impressed. These definitely wear a lot longer than conventional abrasive blades. I’m a bit nervous of the steel blade breaking but no cutoff blade is a lot of fun at 15K RPM when the break. The two brands of blades I reviewed had similar performance. I was cutting internal welds from lap jointed 1” hot rolled square tubing to reclaim the material. I cut 12 welds and you can see from the pictures besides scratching the paint there was no significant wear on the blade compared to new. These are good value but I think you may find better value around and I think for my use I prefer the 4” blades over the 4.5” blades as there is less shaking with the lower surface speed. I’d guess that for my applications I’d get about a 20:1 improvement in cutter life compared to fibreglass abrasive wheels. Cutting speed for me was similar. I can’t fault these for cutting welds which is my main application on small grinders. 5 Stars shop around for value though good quality diamond blades are fairly common these days. How I review: Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points. - 0 for value but I try to provide guidance -0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel -0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on execution I select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

I originally bought this to cut Steel but I tried on few angle Aluminum and brand new blade was hardly cutting! The fact it says 6000+ cut it’s a miss advertising and wrong to waste people’s time.
