can confirm, they are socks. Run true to size, have survived at least. one round of wash. Definitely on the thinner side, so nice alternative for dress socks.

My wife walks several miles every day, and is a serious hiker. Because we live in the Pacific Northwest the weather is very changeable. These socks are well made and have a band at top so they stay up even when she runs or hikes in steep terrain. The material is breathable so just fine in worm weather, yet work well in cool weather as well. They seem to hold up well after many uses and washings. They are basic, and useful. Longevity remains to be seen, but so far they are just fine.
