I got these for my 3 year old great granddaughter. Think they would have been better with a brush rather than a hard tip pen, when she did one she is heavy handed girl so was scratching the picture, which then wasn’t any good to do again

Only opened one book so far... Bought for my 3 year old daughter as she loves her Galt one.Pros:Colours are nice and bright.Pens draw on the pages nicely.Great price.Some picture interaction e.g can you find...Cons:Spelling mistakes - see 'Yruck' in attached picture, and that's the first page we've looked at from any of the 5 books!! Plus not sure that's a yacht...The text at the top doesn't correspond to the picture opposite (this page isn't an underwater scene) and every page says the same anyway.Nowhere to store pens with the book between uses to keep them together e.g. pens don't fit in the ring binder.Random animals like moose, beaver etc used rather than more traditional kids book animals!Page looks a little scratched after one use. Our Galt one looks scratched too, but that's been used c.50-100 times! Will have to see how they go with more uses.Picture visible before 'painting' spoils the surprise a little. In the Galt ones, some bits are hidden until painted.Conclusion: good, cheap occupier for kids who can't read yet and preferably those who don't ask too many questions! Wouldn't buy as a gift for friends - recommend the Galt ones for that.
