I picked up two—one lives in my bag, the other on my keys—and I haven’t lost either since. Setup was quick, tracking is reliable, and the SmartThings app makes everything easy. I'm almost tempted to lose something just to put these to the real test. Clean design, solid performance, and just enough peace of mind to make me wonder why I didn’t buy these sooner. This tracker works great. We have at home both Apple and Samsung cellphones, so for my wife's Samsung phone I got this tracker for use with our luggage while traveling. It works great and it was easy to set it up using the SmartThings app in her phone. Description mentioned that the tracker did not come with a needed battery, so I ordered extra ones, and when it arrived it came with a battery already pre-installed. Anyway it is good to have extra batteries available. Just remove the battery tab to provide power to the tracker and you are ready to activate it and set it up in the app. One more comment; for the best experience using trackers, if you want efficient tracking stick to using Samsung trackers with your Samsung phone and Apple AirTag trackers with your iPhones.

Used on my trip to Caribbean. It was fun to watch its travel path. Many uses to keep track of an item. Possibly an animal as well ???? Easy to set up.

I love the idea of this and so happy they finally made one specifically for Samsung devices. I purchased it because I have an Autistic 3 year old. I pin it inside one of his pockets and it does give me a sense of added safety should he wander away. The only downfall is its not in real time and takes a very long time for it to refresh. This making the location not very accurate. I hope in future upgrades it made to track in real time. Other than that the value for the money for the added safety is amazing.

Great item works with my Samsung galaxy (A range) pretty well & good battery life.Got regular tracking updates, used this in my luggage when travelling and tracking was so useful. I love that you can put it into power saving mode when not actively needing to track it anymore as well!

SAMSUNG SMARTTAG2 - received Mar 23, 2025. The description says no battery included, but, it came with the battery inside. There is also a blue ribbon you have to pull so the battery will work. I did this , then went on the Smart Things app and registered my device. I also have the original Smart Tag which was already in my app as registered. So when I opened the app it automatically recognized my new SmartTag2 device, registered it and then I had to say yes to upload an upgrade to software. Once that was done, I renamed my SmartTag2 device. All working great! Easy registering. It also came with "pin" so I can remove the battery. I also purchased the silicone cover fits perfectly. I love the SmartTag2 . Would order again . Perfect!

Seems like it should work with all Samsung phones, but it appears your carrier has as much to do with the functionality. Tried to set it up with Samsung Galaxy phone and would not load into the Trac Phone System. Loved the concept but it simply did not work...we were bummed!
