This is a great product for Physics nerds like me. At 40% reflectance, it makes a great beam splitter for making optics demonstrations, and it laser cuts beautifully into useful thin shims that can be fitted into 3D printed mounts for optics and sensors that have very tight space requirements. This is a must have item for use in any physics lab, optics course, or optoelectronics course. Just add transfer tape onto the surface before laser cutting and we used the same settings for cutting 2mm acrylic sheets to cut this mirror. Great value for money. Anybody with access to laser cutters that can cut 2mm thick acrylic can use this to make all sorts of neat lab demonstrations and lab equipment. (Maybe even make your own game of Khet). Currently being used to test photodiode based sensors. The material is brittle at 1mm thick, so if it is cut into thin shims it can easily snap if you push too hard on it, and it is possible to scrape the surfaces really easily, so 3D prints should include gaps that prevent scraping of these optical surfaces during insertion into your project. The 2nd clear plastic layer can sometimes be a bit hard to find and remove, but overall the 40% reflective 1mm thick acrylic mirror is a great product and I will order it again.

Ich habe lange eine Spiegel-Lösung für einen Unendlichkeitsspiegel gesucht und schließlich diese Acryl-Platte gefunden. Ist das Licht auf der eigenen Seite, spiegelt sie sauber das eigene Spiegelbild. Ist das Licht auf der anderen Seite, kann man ohne Schleier hindurchschauen wie durch eine Scheibe. Die Anleitung erläutert den korrekten Gebrauch. Ich war positiv überrascht über eine Anti-Kratz-Beschichtung. Vielen Dank für diesen tollen Spiegel!

If you are planning to size this, be aware, its brittle, not as bad as glass, but you need to score it deeply...do NOT try to cut with a saw. Also, be aware, not being glass, it scuffs and scratches easily...but...I protected mine by putting a lexan cover on it..
