Needed this for a dock I use with my Surface Pro 11 at home to get another monitor available. I like that the cable is thin and flexible, made it easy to place where needed. Works fine for what I needed at a good price.

I needed a fairly long displayport cable that was thin (not much room in my wire harness) that supports 4k video and this did the job admirably. Can't comment on 8k because I don't have video sources that generate 8k video but if you are looking for a cable to carry 4k resolution at 60Hz, this does the job!

I hadn't realized the latch is optional in the displayport standard and these cables don't have them. They do say in the description "Unique latch-free design makes plugs and unplugs effortless." Yes, it's indeed effortless. You'll have to decide whether that effortlessness is a feature or a bug you're willing to pay extra to avoid. Oh, and it's not unique. At all. I notice people complaining the plugs are loose -- yep but they're within spec, they just don't have the optional latch.

I used these cables to connect a thunderbolt docking station to my monitor. The image was grainy, had three sections of horizontal lines that spanned the entire monitor, and the entire image would flicker randomly. I tried both displayports on my monitor, and got the same result. I tried a different displayport cable in the same ports (on the dock and monitor) and the picture did not have the same problems. I tried different, lower resolutions and had the same problem with both cables. Had to return them.

DisplayPort cables are often thick and hard. They are hard to plug, especially in tight spaces. This cable makes life a lot easier. I like the thin flexible cable. I can easily run it through tight spaces and along the cable management system with my monitor stand. The connectors are good and easy to plug in. The picture/video quality is great. It does the job well. Appropriate length. Easy storage and application.

trying to thread a standard thickness cable along with power and an HDMI lead through a monitor arm was impossible, this thin cable works great and was able to fit inside the arm to help keep everything neat.
