I have been through many sets of similar punches These are A-1. Top quality. I highly recommend these over any others.

First order the 1/16" punch came bent, asked for a replacement, 2nd kit the 3/32" punch came bent, sent back for a refund. Starrett was supposed to be a good "made in USA" quality, I was not impressed especially for the $$$

If you've found these on Amazon chances are you're part of the tribe and appreciate nice tools. I bought these for a precision firearms project after suffering with cheap punch sets from HF, made the job so much more enjoyable. With free shipping and no tax, these babies are worth every penny even if you only use them once or twice a year as I do. Compare the price on these shipped to your door after a few mouse clicks and shuffling from the couch to the fridge vs. driving around and then buying a not so nice set at a chain store, and well, these start making a lot of sense.The shafts are very nicely knurled and the punch tips are precisely squared off and sturdy. Punches feel nice in the hand and work well. You'd have to break a sweat to hurt one of these, I can see. I've bent my share of HF punches but that's not saying much.Also, I wanted to say I actually kinda like the plastic case despite some of the complaints in reviews below since it keeps the set together and upright and easy to spot and grab while working at a bench. I don't see what the big deal is, it's functional and simple. Only bummer is I have to lay the case down to fit in a drawer in my mechanic's box.I just picked up the brass set in the same sizes as this set from Amazon, I have no doubt they'll be as nice as these. Well worth the money for good tools. Buy once, cry once. Life's too short to drink cheap booze or buy cheap tools as my buddy Matt with Eight Fingers always says.

Well, I didn't like the ugly sticker that took me 20 minutes to remove. And that's the only thing wrong with these wonderful punches. They are exquisitely made and finished and a joy to use. Mine are clearly labeled "made in the USA". I've never seen a nicer set of punches.

Shipping took about a week. However it was worth the wait. I use these punches on a daily bases as a gun smith. They have never failed me. They are strong and I have not bent even the smallest one yet. They are great quality and made with strong metal. The case is even solid. I really have nothing bad to say about them. I think that I am more likely to lose them than break them. If do I will be buying more of them. Great product.

Starrett has been around for years and their products have always been associated with the finest quality available...and they still are. I bought this pin punch set to replace a set that I bought at Horror Freight. That was a mistake. They bent almost immediately and were just this side of useless. What would one expect from a $7 punch set. I don't know what I was thinking. Fast forward to current - problem solved. These punch pins hold up to anything that I've thrown at them and look as straight as an arrow. They cost a bit more than $7, but you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to tools...and just about everything else.

Really good quality!Yes they are a little pricey, but worth it in the end.

Received these punches so I could use in my line work in carpentry, where we do loads of renos. These come in very handy especially in door removal or loading the bomber hinges in fire rated doors.Highly recommend these pun punches for anyone in a trade .

Quality pin punch set; just as good if not better than Snap-on brand at a far less cost! My father had this brand of tools in his workshop way back when and stood up our abuse using them. The shaft has a nice 'raised grip' to hold the punches. Wish I waited a week and could have saved a few $$'s more as they went on sale.
