I bought a beautiful Kate Spade pen and the ink it came with was just awful. It kept skipping on the paper, was not smooth and was super inconsistent. I use a lot of Parker Quink ink cartridges in my fountain and roller ball pens. My wife, due to her arthritis, prefers a triangular-shaped pen which helps her hand not to cramp up. The wife had a pen she loved from Staples that had the cartridge run out of ink. She asked me to get a refill for it. Seeing that these high-quality smooth writing and flowing ink cartridges would work in her pen, I ordered them. She likes how smooth the pen writes and how much ink it puts out, which is just enough without soaking the paper or skipping, which drives me crazy. These cartridges roll much smoother with no skips better than the one that came with the pen, and have a darker ink. We haven't found the ink smears too easily, and appears to be at least water-resistant or at least Black Labradork drool and dripping water resistant. We are pleased with how much ink each cartridge carries. Comparing other similar refills, we feel these due to their quality, smooth writing, longevity and good ink are a good value for the money.
