This product meets expectations and comes as described. I was able to replace a, barely long enough, HDMI cable along that crossed the living room with cheaper and easier to hide CAT5 cable. Was able to tuck cable under baseboard trim and have a small 3ft hdmi cable come up behind the couch for a laptop.

Does not work!!! Trying to return it. Neither of the 2 units.
