I travel often and purchase SIM cards in advance so I can use the data provided to travel seamlessly - from India, Indonesia, Thailand, several African and European countries. I did not expect to have an issue here in Japan, but sure enough, not only did this SIM card not work, but it ended up putting my phone into developer mode. I would not recommend this at all. Save your money and get one on arrival in Japan - the airports have them available at around the same cost.

My fiancée has iphone 12 and was able to use data our entire 10 day trip to Tokyo. Made me so jealous I have a 14(no removable sim) and had to pay $10 a day

Ok...so the instructions provided don't work - for android at least.The sim card is supposed to automatically create a APN. It doesn't.To use it, I had to add a APN manually (see screenshot). Then it worked.Too late for me - I needed internet to get from the airport to the hotel...so I ended up having to buy one anyway.Once at the hotel, it literally took all day to get support. Yeah - not a happy customer. Next time, I'd just buy at the airport. It was only about $5 more and would have saved a lot of stress and disappointment

I got this SIM Card hoping to use it in japan as it was mentioned only japan line. I started using it at Tokyo airport and thought will be with me for 7 days. Unfortunately it went dead after almost one hour and did not work at all. It was waste of mone.

This thing doesn't work. We try for 3 hours, contact with customers service ,try everything, made sure that our phone works for this sim, 100% unlocked phone, never works for us.The customer service is terrible!We need to purchase and wifi box at the airport at the end....

I don't think I've ever used a SIM that caused my phone to crash and burn. I got the android boot loader screen of death after leaving it in my phone for too long after it forced restart. It seemed like it was trying to connect to a network, but it somehow killed my T-Mobile eSIM at the same time. Something is absolutely terribly wrong with this specific SIM. I've had SIMs just not work, but this is the first time that it felt like it was trying to do something bad to my phone. Tried plugging it in in Japan. I've used other SIM without any issues in Japan as well.I'd go with something that is from Japan and not from Hong Kong considering I bought this for Japan.

There are probably comparable SIMs for travelers at airport, but I bought this ahead of time to save time and effort after landing. It took my phone a couple of minutes to automatically select network and register with IIJ. I never heard of IIJ before, but they are MVNO which uses Docomo network and coverage seemed good during my visit. My visit was 14 days so I bought the 15 day SIM. I did not come close to testing the advertised 10GB of high speed data per day. Speed seemed same as 4G LTE in US.

Just got back from Tokyo, Japan. Sim card does not work. Issued by Chinese company. It is better to buy when you landed at the airport.
