Stonewall Kitchen Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix, 16 Ounces

I usually get my mix from Trader Joe’s but they were out and I really wanted to make some waffles. I read the reviews and since it was on sale I decided to try it. End product, the waffles, tasted great. No weird chemical taste or any off taste. As for the dry mixture it didn’t have a chemical smell either which is usually the sign that it’s going to taste bad but not with this mix. I am very pleased as it had the right consistency while mixing and made the perfect textured waffles

I normally make pancakes and waffles from scratch. But now that I'm single, I make pancakes from Stonewall Buttermilk & Waffle mix. I make banana pancakes and they taste delicious.

I am not a processed food type guy. I frown on eating such foods. This product of which I have made at least 100 pancakes over the years has been a wonderful experience in eating such type breakfast. This has been a go to for about 20 years now. Don’t buy often but it’s nice to have ready when able. You can’t go bad here. Just add some fruit and powered sugar and you’re in. You will thank me !

Straight onto the pan or waffle maker—no mess, no drama. My little upgrade? I mash a banana and mix it with the melted butter before adding it in. Game changer. Sometimes I’ll sneak in a scoop of protein powder and pretend I’ve really got it together. Result: happy kids, full bellies, and a mom who looks way more put-together than she actually feels at 7:42am. 10/10—because not every morning needs to be a culinary masterpiece. Sometimes it just needs to work.

I get it - “better pancakes” probably sounds like a stretch. After all, pancakes are absolutely in the same food group as pizza — even when they’re bad, they’re still pretty good. But Stonewall has done it, this mix delivers pancakes that are lighter and tastier than the legendary brand that promises “Biscuits Quickly.” Made with milk, they are very good — made with buttermilk they’re fantastic. Simply add egg, milk and some melted butter; then rest for 5-10 minutes before cooking. The basic recipe produces 9-10 medium sized cakes, which is more than enough for two people.
