I have all of Christophers previous albums. This album ranks with the best of Christopher's work. Great songs, wonderful musicianship. Top class production. A tour de force. If you liked any of Christophers previous work, you will love this album.

Absolutely delighted to see a new album from CC and find that the quality of the music is as good as ever.

The product itself had arrived in perfect condition and very quickly.I am a fan of CC but this CD was really disappointing. It’s very instrumental and nothing like his previous work. Myself and my father who’s also a massive fan got bored when listening to it on separate occasions and yet we both felt the same.I actually wouldn’t recommend this product if you are a CC fan. Positive note; I’d recommend the seller

What a surprise, l didn't realise that CC was such a great guitarist, similar to Eric Johnson.The musicianship is superb on this, and the album flows superbly.It a refreshing way CC has presented this album, by getting rid of the standard song structure ,verse corus verse, and welcome return to instrumental solos. lf you are a musician, you will love it!

I bought this album last week and it just kept growing on me as I continued to listen.. I'm a big fan of the first 3 albums "Sailing" "Another Page" and "A Christopher Cross Christmas". I bought Sailing and Another Page when they first came out and of course the rest of the catalog through the years. When Sailing and Another Page came available via hdtracks.com I snagged them ASAP."Take Me As I Am" I feel is as good or better than Sailing and Another Page. I love the horns, the drum arrangements, guitar solos and Christopher's voice and lyrics and all this is just from listenin the first couple times. Kudos to the engineering of this album, I'm hoping 'Take Me As I Am' goes big so I can buy it in flac from hdtrack. And would love to buy the album cover in poster size. My favorite song from this album is "River of Tears". Good job overall.

J'étais passé complètement à côté de cet album en 2017 et pourtant j'adore Christopher Cross. Mais comme c'est un artiste dont on ne parle pratiquement jamais dans les médias, ce sont les recommandations d'Amazon qui me l'ont indiqué. En regardant les notes et avis des clients, je me suis précipité dessus et je ne le regrette pas. C'est un superbe album, dans la lignée du précédent Secret Ladder. Décidément, après des années moins créatives, Cross revient avec des albums de haute tenue qui n'ont rien à envier à ses premiers albums. Les morceaux sont subtils, les mélodies ciselées et le son est bien clair tout en étant très loin de la production aseptisée que l'on entend trop souvent aujourd'hui...1 titre a été écrit pour Joni Mitchell (excellent) et le dernier est un hommage à son ami et vieux compagnon de route Rob Meurer (décédé en 2016): c'est sublime! En continuant sur cette lancée, Cross peut encore nous offrir de bien beaux albums dans les années à venir!

Un disco delicioso musicalmente hablando. A diferencia de la mayoría de álbumes nuevos que necesitas oírlos varias veces hasta que te empiezan a gustar, con éste quedé maravillado desde la primera vez que lo escuché. Excelentes y cuidados arreglos: piano, saxo, clarinete, batería, bajo, guitarras acústicas, coros... y gran guitarra eléctrica e impecable voz de Christopher Cross, sin olvidar unas excelentes colaboraciones vocales. Un estilo melódico y fresco como el de los primeros discos, pero actualizado al presente. Ideal para escuchar con velas en buena compañía.

Difficile non volerlo confrontare con i suoi due primi lavori, quelli più famosi. Nulla da invidiare. Da ascoltare e riascoltare traccia dopo traccia.Roberta è il mio brano preferito.È proprio un peccato che questo album non sia stato adeguatamente pubblicizzato.

This album is VERY good. It's a departure from what we've heard from Chris in the past (sort of), that doesn't make thisany less of a great listen. Every Musician on this thing is top notch and all of the songs are well written, recorded and polished.Chris wrote all of these songs (along with Rob on one track) and this just proves what a talented songwriter and musician he is and much more than just "The Guy who did Sailing" in 1980. The Last couple albums were really good and this one is too, just in a different direction.Pick this one up, you will enjoy it. It's extremely well done.
