We've all seen drawings, phrases and captions on different shapes and styles of wood and we all had a good idea that it was burnt on, but probably unaware of the process. (We also knew that process would have it's own name.) And if you're interested in pyrography, this might be the place to start.With the included 20 nibs, of three different styles, it will take a bit of practice but that's the enjoyable part. As a starter kit, 20 nibs might be too many and it would have been better to include a few more pieces of wood and/or stencils to try on. But it is what it is. The thing I was wary of is whether the handlewould get hot, but it doesn't. I haven't used the highest temperature setting yet and this is what determines the depth of the colour of the burn but I'll move up to that soon enough.It might appear daunting at first but it isn't. I mean, if I can use it, so can you. One other plus for this is that it comes with a UK plug. Bear in mind that the temperature goes from 250C to 750C (or about 480F to 1,400F if you're old school). It's a reasonable price for those who want to dip their toes.

I`m using it as an bumper repair tool with metal strips- it`s absolutely amazing!Totally recommend it. For my purposes it would be better if it would be battery-powered, but I`m not using it as for its direct purpose.
