Banana Tree Potting Soil Mix (12 Quarts), Hand Blended Mixture for Banana Plants

Banana plants are thriving in it. Planted tissue culture directly into soil and are now 6 inch tall plants.

I poured this in the hole before I added my Cavendish banana trees. They are thriving in 105 degree heat. I would recommend this.

Seems to be very good planting soil for bananas. Very dark but with good drainage.

I initially bought this to amend my homemade banana plant soil (I presently have... eleven potted banana plants scattered around the house, some pegged for my banana circle come springtime). Funny thing, I discovered that my seedlings love it, too! So my second bag went toward "up-potting" my artichokes/cardoons, an apple tree seedling, a young citrus tree, etc. It is a lovely potting medium and I have not had any issues with bugs or the like. I just wish that it was a bit less expensive because then I could buy more of it!

I live in Wisconsin, so sustaining tropical plants can be tricky. Initially, I thought buying specific soil for my fruit plant/tree was a bit gimmicky given the high prices, but it makes all the difference. No amount of fertilizer or UV light can save a tropical fruit plant if the soil is wrong. We just transplanted our banana plant to its *hopefully* final pot, which required three bags plus the soil from the last pot. I could buy 100 pounds of bananas for the price, but you can't put a price on watching your banana pup thrive and grow into a contributing member of the family.

Love this soil! I bought my banana tree as a baby and purchased this soil a week later after reading reviews, well I’m glad I got it because it has worked amazing. In 3 weeks of potting my banana tree and hibiscus together they have grown so much I can tell a huge difference in the size and it looks healthy .. will definitely buy more when I need to repot them
